Default Joe Biden and the political center

Kennedy (she goes by only one name) made an interesting point this morning, on Fox News:

She asserted that the Democratic presidential nominee simply MUST carry the political center in order to win the presidency.

Not merely that it would be helpful. But that it is essential.

If that is indeed the case, then Joe Biden may be in some trouble, as he seems to be intent upon abandoning the political center, in order to shore up the Democratic Party's leftist base.

Note: Most voters range between the center-right and the center-left. There are, of course, a few who occupy the hard-right portion of the political spectrum; and a few more on the hard left. But they are really outliers.

The problem is the VERY vocal AOC/Bernie Bros crew...

If Biden tries to swerve into their lane, the middle-Left will be abandoned...

And if Biden swerves into the middle-Left lane, the radical crew will yell from the highest mountain...

Here's how bad it is....A woman working for Bernie's campaign...and USED to work on a previous Biden campaign...thinks Biden's recent lurch far Leftward is STILL not good enough...

Sanders Campaign Co-Chair Compares Endorsing Biden to Eating a ‘Bowl of Sh*t’

Quote:
Endorsing Joe Biden for president would be like eating a “bowl of s**t,” Bernie Sanders campaign co-chairwoman Nina Turner commented in an article that appeared in the Atlantic on Monday.

The Biden campaign has attempted to reach out to Sanders supporters since the former vice president took a commanding lead in the Democratic primaries. While many Sanders supporters have backed Biden, some progressives have made clear their disappointment at having to vote for the more centrist candidate.

“It’s like saying to somebody, ‘You have a bowl of **** in front of you, and all you’ve got to do is eat half of it instead of the whole thing.’ It’s still ****,” Turner said. Turner is a former Ohio state senator and longtime ally of Sanders.

...The continued reluctance of some Sanders supporters to back Biden could have an impact on the upcoming general elections. While Biden currently possesses a commanding lead over President Trump in RealClearPolitics polling averages, some Democrats have cautioned that the poll results may not be a complete representation of overall support for Trump.

Joe Biden doesn't even believes he's anywhere near the middle...

From YESTERDAY...

Now if he REALLY believes he's near the middle and is just saying this to appease the far-Left, then he is LYING to the American people....And if he REALLY believes he'd go down as "one of the most progressive presidents in American history", then he's admitting he's not near the middle...

I don't know what he believes. He's certainly a match for someone who has no compass whatsoever. Most Americans want universal health care but he is to the right of that. He does favor unions and protecting the environment so I say he is middle.

I think a big part will be who Mr Biden selects as his running mate.
I think a far left VP selection will hurt his candidacy with the center-right and the center-left. That could decide his fate. I say that because I think some on the center-right are so frustrated with Mr Trump that they will choose Mr Biden as a centrist candidate but they won't do that if he has an extreme left running mate.

Haha, never going to happen, but if Mr Biden had Condoleeza Rice as a running mate I'd likely vote that ticket over Trump/Pence.

Biden supporters pre-election - "How DARE you say Biden has dementia or is senile. You're so warped!!!!"

If Biden wins, Biden supporters post-inauguration - "Biden has dementia. He needs to gracefully ride off into the sunset."

Your second sentence is most likely after 2 years plus one day into the presidency.
Pre two years his VP can only run for one additional presidency position. Post two years his VP is still allowed to hold two more 4 year presidencies.
I'm sure the democrat party is doing everything they can to get Michelle Obama as his VP running mate in the hope of 10 years of her as the president.

Nina Turner is an example of someone making perfect the enemy of good. Joe Biden put progressives on his policy task forces and he has moved to the left on at least some issues. Most progressives acknowledge that Biden will never be on the same wavelength as Bernie, but we know he's still far more liberal than the alternative and thus will vote for Biden. The last vestiges of the Bernie Bros would probably not even vote for Liz Warren, I've heard her be called a centrist sellout ffs lol .

They'd rather have four more years of Trump and get less than nothing than someone who's to the left of Hillary, who's moved a little further to the left already, and who's shown a willingness to at least hear them out. The only victory afforded to them is they stuck true to their guns, doing nothing while their world falls apart.

Harris who has a history of being pro police would be a right of center option, but no he won't pick a Republican I don't think. I'm hoping for Tammy the Iraq war veteran. far left would be Warren, whom I also like to help fix the economy, but who knows
We'll know next week hopefully
