Default Am I missing something?

Memorial Day is intended as a means of honoring those who have given their lives, while serving in the US military.

This year, we have some who decline to honor them, because the latter just might--might!--catch the coronavirus (which is seldom fatal, anyway).

Sometimes this is because of governors' edicts. But not always.

Am I understanding this correctly?

Pretty much. Massive cowardice on the part of some. Massive indifference on the part of others.

Dead people donít really care what you do on Memorial Day. State home and save some lives.

dead people don't care what you do on any day.
cancel all future funerals.
they're pointless and mean nothing to the dead.
throw 'em in a box and chuck 'em in the ground.
and yes that includes your mom and your kid.
