one of my friends pointed out to me that the goal was not to stop the spread but to flatten the curve.
in other words the goal is for some of us to get the virus.
and while the intent may not be for us to die - statistically they know some will.
that alone tells you it's not about us the people as a whole or as individuals.
the system rules the day as that is where their power resides.
