I've said, before, that the richest Democrats are the nones always advocating for the government to take care of the poorest...Capitalism for me; not for thee...

Barack and Michelle Obama's $15 million house of hypocrisy

Quote:
The spending is perfectly aligned with the hypocrisy and envy that continues to permeate the Democratic party. Whether it is Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., with his multi-million dollar net worth and three homes or Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., who earned well into the six-figures teaching at Ivy League institutions, their definition of “too rich” seems to be one dollar more than whatever they happen to be worth at a given point in time.

Therein lies the rub. Too many in Democratic leadership peddle the politics of envy and victimhood to grab power, wealth and success for themselves. They indulge their followers in the lie that someone getting wealthy comes at someone else’s expense. While this is offensive, it is made worse by the fact that they do it specifically for their own gain, making the political class more powerful and the government more bloated all while damaging the concept of the American Dream.

I don’t begrudge the Obamas for getting a nice house — even though they "didn’t build that." But politicians need to stop saying one thing while doing another. Living in a fancy house is admirable, but living in a glass house is contemptible.

And why is no one questioning where he is getting the money to pay for something like this? The Obama's were doing well prior to his presidency, but not that well.

I guess the problem I have is that our friends on the left want to question Trump's motives as President even though he was worth Billions before he got there. However, Obama's new found wealth is of no concern. What was that saying? We question a billionaire that became a politician but don't worry about the politicians that became millionaires.

He gets the money to pay for mansions and other comforts from his book deal and speaking fees as well as payments for being a producer for Netflix. Before Barack winning the Presidency Michelle brought home a tidy sum by being on corporate boards of directors, she may be doing that again.

No one wanted to look closely at the Obama's getting help buying their Chicago mansion from slum Lord and fixer Tony Resco now serving time for government corruption. So, don't expect any serious inquiry into where they are getting money now. At least he is not taking in huge speaking fees from foreign entities while is wife is running the State department.

Yes, I understand all of that. However, it does beg the question of how, not just Obama, but politicians in general, gain so much wealth while in an office that does not pay near the amount their wealth seems to grow. And I'm not just pointing out Obama or Democrats. There are many Republicans just as guilty. The corruption in the swamp runs deep.

Wonder if they'll build a wall around it.
