'I am angry,' says Sacramento business owner being forced to relocate due to homeless

Media coverage and politicians overwhelmingly discuss the problem of California's homeless in terms of the needs of the homeless. Here is another perspective from a business owner victimized by California's policy of not enforcing the law. :rolls

Elizabeth Novak packed up her salon and moved out of Sacramento due to the mounting problems from homelessness in the California capital, and told Fox News Monday the issue is “disheartening.”

“I am angry about it as well. I wouldn’t be relocating if it wasn’t for this issue,” Novak told “Fox & Friends.”
Despite all the pious rhetoric about their love for small business, especially those owned by women and minorities the Democrat hegemony ruling California could care less about their no enforcement policy for the homeless is having on them. :rolls

More from the business owner.

When I come into work, I’m never sure what I am going to walk into. I’ve been broken into, I've had my glass broken, I clean up human excrement off of my doorstep every week, cups of urine, things like that,” Novak said.

She added, “I do have compassion for these people but, you know they’re sleeping in front of your door, and they’re leaving trash and they’re turning over garbage cans and I can’t do that anymore.”

Novak said the homelessness issue “is as bad” as the media is saying it is. “A lot of people are saying it’s a housing issue. It’s a drug issue,” Novak said.

“I’ve spoken with a lot of law enforcement in my area and they all have the same answers. Their hands are tied, they can’t arrest them, and a lot of people think arresting won’t do much and it definitely will,” Novak said.
No doubt there are many more small businesses owners forced to close up shop by the California Democrats endorsement of lawlessness. But their voices don't count. :eek

She like the rest of her fellow Californians most likely voted for the leftists idiots in office who allowed this **** to get out of hand. Elections have consequences and idiot bleeding heart lib-tards allowing the homeless to run amok is one of those consequences. If they don't want homeless running amok then don't vote for idiot bleeding heart lib-tards who will let the law be ignored. I am not saying they got to ignore the rest of their views and vote republican. Surely there is some law and order democrats that they can vote for in the next primary.

They need to start charging them to live on the streets. They can pay with money, or labor. Maybe they could at least keep their home clean.

But I know the left is against forcing them to DO anything at all. It is mean and heartless, and not politically correct. :rolls

While I would like to agree with you, exactly how could they penalize those who fail to keep their areas clean? When you are homeless, you pretty much don't have anything to lose....

The woman just vacated a building in which the homeless can now squat. She should be commended for her generosity.

It's not surprising that the "right-wingers" never even took a moment to see what Sacramento is doing about the homeless problem in the county.

It's not surprising you never spent a moment recognizing the massive problem the homeless created for this small business owner. But hey, it's just easier to reflexively attack those evil old right wingers than admit there is a problem with the homeless destroying businesses. :o

Hardly a word was spoken about the homeless under Obama.

This phenom did not just happen November 10th 2016
And it happens regularly and chronically in cities run by democrats. ut somehow it is the fault of conservatives:rolls

In all fairness, city and county governments should be making every effort to provide an environment for those who provide employment, goods and services to the community. Whilst it is important to include it,the last priority should be to care about those who don't.
