So you defaulted and they took your car or whatever but you still have a bad mark on your credit but after 7 years it goes away and the loaning company writes it off.
It's every 7 years after defaulting the whole time not paying on it. 7 years after the last time you made a payment.
Is this what you are talking about?
I think you are talking about chapter 11. That is the only way I know of where we can get out of debt. I have never filed BK, but two of my liberal friends have. I give them both a hard time about it.

I hear ya on mortgage rates, it drove me crazy. Lol, I did beans and rice for several years to put every extra penny on my principal and it worked, my house was paid off years early and I saved over $100,000.00.

It seems ever since the Govt got involved funding colleges tuition's have skyrocketed. Ironic that the vast majority of colleges have all these 'hate America' professors but said professors really LOVE their big salaries.

People are allowed to work their way through college even if it takes longer.

I don't think anyone' debt should be wiped out at the expense of someone else.

No I'm talking about credit rating. That is how it used to be done for many years.
