Default 'Forget Millennials, The Generation After Them Is Fed Up With PC Thinking'

Bad news for the left, going forward.
"Despite the mainstream media’s constant assertion to the contrary, and the “conventional wisdom,” young people are not uniformly left-wing. In fact, a Gallup study from 2017 showed that more teens identified as conservative than liberal. 25% of teens polled identified as “conservative” and only 16% identified as “liberal.” Furthermore, the study showed that fewer teens identified as liberals than their parents did, 16% to 19%."

The trend will be toward conservative thinking in little time, if this keeps up. The leftist snowflakes will be like the Shakers of long ago.

The problem is that the survey here is "self-identifying", and there's an assumption that teens understand the concept of "Liberal" and "Conservative" comparable to general wisdom...

I don't think the labels or even what people think they represent is that relevant to this--if gen z'ers are fed up with political correctness (and therefore by proxy, identity politics), it's only going to hurt the left's cause much more than the right, regardless.

I think the lefts problems are worse than the z generation. The current generation is also fed up.

It's quite possible the millennials are going to get sandwiched between both,

by "PC" do you mean thinking off color jokes are O.K., giving Trump the benefit of the doubt and "time" to "see what he does," Alex Jones has some reasonable points...?

I find it amusing the article doesn't link to the Gallup poll in question.
Moreover, all it talks about is self-identifying. Which should not be confused with them adhering to how you or I define "conservatism".

You posted Gallup, so maybe you like this article too?
Americans Hold Record Liberal Views on Most Moral Issues
Americans continue to express an increasingly liberal outlook on what is morally acceptable, as their views on 10 of 19 moral issues that Gallup measures are the most left-leaning or permissive they have been to date. The percentages of U.S. adults who believe birth control, divorce, sex between unmarried people, gay or lesbian relations, having a baby outside of marriage, doctor-assisted suicide, pornography and polygamy are morally acceptable practices have tied record highs or set new ones this year. At the same time, record lows say the death penalty and medical testing on animals are morally acceptable.

The author took a handful of data points from a Gallup poll that they don't even link to and made up all sorts of conclusions which the original article probably didn't even hint at.

"PC" has come to mean a hodge podge of things that allow people on the right to get under the same tent without acknowledging who they are or what their actual beef is. Pedophiles complain about "PC". Racists complain about "PC".
