To understand we really need to go back to late July or early August of 2016. At that time the FBI had launched a counterintelligence investigation (not a criminal investigation) of the Russian interventionism in the presidential election. The FBI went to both the Clinton and Trump campaigns to inform them that the Russians might attempt to infiltrate their campaigns. The FBI informed both campaigns that the involvement of the Russians would be a criminal act so if there were any approaches by the Russians the FBI needed to be notified.

The Trump campaign had already had a meeting with Russian representatives on July 9th to negotiate the release of the DNC/Clinton emails from Russian intelligence for use by the Trump campaign (and regardless of what was negotiated the negotiations did result in the release of the emails by Russian intelligence) but, instead of informing the FBI, Donald Trump continued to cover-up that they were working with the Russians. Donald Trump, and the Trump campaign, knew at that point in time that any involvement with the Russians was criminal and continued to keep that involvement a secret from the FBI.

The simple fact that the Trump campaign had a secret meeting with the Russians, that they continued to cover-up and keep secret from the FBI, in an effort to secure support from Russian intelligence (that was successful) is "criminal collusion" by the Trump campaign. Had Trump revealed the contacts that had already occurred they could have avoided the criminal conspiracy (collusion) charges (that Manafort is facing and that Flynn and Gates arguably avoided with plea bargains and cooperation with the Mueller investigation) but they didn't. They knew what they were doing was a criminal conspiracy under the law and still they covered it up.

Every action by Donald Trump since late July of 2016 has been to cover up his involvement and the involvement of members of his campaign with the Russians. His lies about not having business dealings, his lies about the Trump campaign not meeting with the Russians, his lies about no evidence of collusion, and his lies about his reasons for firing James Comey where Rod Rosenstein was directed to create a memo to rationalize the termination of Comey and then his public admission wasn't the reason at all because "it was the Russian thing" that Trump wanted to bury by firing Comey.

Of course Trump's condemnation of Sessions is complete BS where Trump ignores the timeline and the law. Sessions wasn't facing a recusal decision when Trump nominated him and he couldn't have told Trump he would or wouldn't recuse himself at that time. Session only faced recusal after he became the Attorney General and then it wasn't an arbitrary decision. The law required Sessions to recuse himself. Trump's rants on Sessions recusal are really a statement by Trump that Sessions should have violated to law so that he could protect Trump from the FBI investigation that's based upon evidence of criminal wrongdoing by Donald Trump and the Trump campaign.

Based upon the corruption, brutality, inhumanity, immorality, dishonesty, and incompetence of the Trump administration the White House is the dirtiest house in America and there's no known cleanser that with remove the stains of the Trump Administration.
