So there is a discussion we were having on social media, and a guy asked this question. Following that is my answer. I thought you guys might find it interesting.

Would any anti-Trump folks here ever consider changing their mind about Trump? Like what if he actually turned out to be amazing President and he brought about policies/legislation that had a direct, positive impact on YOUR life? Can anyone here dare consider that?

I have considered that every time there is a glimmer of hope. Unfortunately, he's getting worse not every day but, sadly, multiple times per day. Not just what policies I disagree with him on but his promise to drain the swamp. He has not only NOT done that but filled that swamp with more funk. The obama admin may not have been your cup of tea; he did things I didn't like either, and in fact I voted R again in the 2016 primary. But the few good things obama did like put back bans on toxic poison on imported dishes and toys was overturned by trump! who does that?! I disagree with those who say he is stupid or crazy. he simply has no conscience and only acts in his self interest. He is so much worse than even hillary could have been. I was alive during nixon and trump is worse than nixon by far. Maybe the gop will split.

I wud like that. I will support the conservatives and not the paid shills who are there now. ~

Would a lib ever drop their bias and look at Trump's presidency with honest eyes?

Uh, no. Not in this lifetime. Partisanship and division are too much a part of the lib agenda. I bet you couldn't find a dozen posts by a lib on this board giving props to a conservative politician or accomplishment.

Trump has brought out the true anger and hostility of libs.

I am not considering changing my mind about Trump, I really really want to, I pray he will give me a reason to. I care about my country, not partisan politics.

First of all salty, I have to agree with you mentioning the GOP.
The old party is where my heart lies.

Not what we have today, but that said I must TRY to support Trump, hard as it is at times, because I did vote for him... so I am just standing by and watching what transpires, most of which I am not so thrilled about on any given day.

Boring comment perhaps, but it's where I am.

Dow passes 23,000. Media virtually silent and give it passing comments if they talk 'bout it at all.

If this were Obama in office there'd be parades and confetti. But it's Trump so shhhhhhhhhhhh.

Dow ends above 23,000 for first time; IBM jumps

The market tripled under Obama. Let us know when that happens under Trump.

I won't change my mind. He is a sociopath. He is the lowest type of human being. He has nothing that interests me.
