Two more Senators just said no to McConnell-care. That means they are two votes short.

2 more GOP senators oppose health bill, killing it for now

The majority only are for it because of partisanship. It's all about killing any trace of Obama. They had no plan except to erase Obama from history. Ironically Americans support Obamacare more than anything the right has conjured up.

While the Democrats passed the PPACA on a straight partisan line, without even knowing what was in it (talk about BLIND partisanship), the Republicans at least have an idea what the bill contains. The fact some don't like it, and aren't planning on voting for it, deserves some kudos.

I don't want crap to replace crap, just to say they did. I want something that actually works, without the weight being dumped on employers, and without UHC for those who don't want it.

The Republican's had 8 years to build a plan, and while they should not have been required to 'fix' the Democrats **** up, they should have had at least an idea for changes to the system that would not devastate the country.

The government should not be involved in anything to do with healthcare other than those who are in the low/no income group, and that minimal at best. The government only knows one way to do things when it comes to social welfare programs: inefficient, over administrated, expensive with mediocre outcomes.

Agreed.

Thanks to the implementation of Obamacare on a blind (we have to pass it to see what's in it)partisan vote, we now have a program upon which many Americans have come to accept if not depend. So the GOP, who have promised repeal for 7 long and expensive years, are to gutless to actually carry that promise out.

The GOP achieved majority by making that promise. Keeping that promise will get them re-elected. Installing Obamacare light will not. But it will insure a clear road to single payer, and I'm betting, that is what the elitist of both parties always wanted in the first place.
