What McCain and his campaign lost track of is that voters on the right put him as the leader of their party because the partisanship had gotten out of hand. But after getting the nod they went straight to gutter fighting. This along with picking Palin were stupid gimmicky games. These things have ruined any credibility McCain used to have. All Gimmicks all the time. Joe the plumber is such an obvious gimmick that any child could see it.

McCain should have stayed positive. ]And he should have picked a Romney or someone that would have seemed more qualified. He would likely be in the lead today. But these are the reasons he shouldn't be POTUS. Its all a game to him. Winning trumps all.

Watch his speeches today. Or Palins for that matter. Instead of speaking to the country they are firing up their base. They already had the base. They can't give a speech without spending 80% of it attacking Obama. People expect more. When not attacking Obama they are repeating assinine bumper sticker quotes.

Obama is going to win because of McCains bad leadership. Even with Obama's big support the polls are close in some states. McCain would have pulled it out with a minimal amount of smarts. But they deserve to lose at this point. And the country needs a balanced leader. We are done with attacking each other as a substitute for real leadership
