They are already saying that Huma committed a felony by letting her Top secret and classified emails go out to unauthorized people. It should be a slam dunk, but as we know the elites are far ABOVE the laws that pertain to the rest of the country.

You really sound envious. What do you think you would have done?

For those who don't grasp the obvious, Loretta Lynch, the Attorney General who spent over 1/2 hour, on an airplane, privately talking to the husband of someone who was under federal investigation, is "crying foul" over the actions of others...

JUST IN: Here’s WHY Comey Reopened Hillary Investigation

I think the real reason that Comey changed his stance on Hillary Clinton and her email scandal is multi-faceted. First off, he probably had a hard time living with himself after he let her walk. He knows how it made him look and multiple associates of his told him he had ruined not only his own reputation, but that of the FBI. Then there is the ever growing stack of resignations piling up on his desk. FBI agents that have been with the agency for years just couldn’t stomach what he did. Then there is Comey’s wife, who urged him to come forward. That’s a lot of pressure on anyone… I think Comey saw this as a shot at redemption and jumped on it.
It's strange how the Thread Title asks a question but doesn't seek an answer by instead putting forward a proposition that is highly dubious in nature.

Let's start here. James Comey and the FBI did not "re-open" the Clinton email investigation. They happened to come across emails from a close friend and political associate that contained Clinton emails. All the FBI is doing is verifying that these emails are NOT related to the Clinton email investigation or, if they happen to fall into that group are they duplicates of what the FBI ahs already investigated. There has been zero evidence that any of the emails being reviewed have anything to do with the FBI investigation of Hillary Clinton's emails.

Next is the fact that James Comey's decision on the handing of classified material was 100% accurate. I've worked with classified government information including secret documents and for minor and incidental violations of security protocol that occur when a person is performing their job, and that happens all the time, it's always addressed by Administrative "cause and corrective action" and not be criminal prosecution. The entire Clinton email issue was a unintentional "no-harm/no-foul" violation of security protocol related to very few emails all in the performance of the duties of office.

These cases are NEVER criminally prosecuted because if these types of petty violations of security protocol were always criminally prosecuted then no one would ever agree to handling classified information. Remember we're not talking about officially marked classified information with the properly filled out color coded cover sheet and/or header in an email. These emails were identified as classified simply because someone, not necessarily Hillary Clinton, happened to mention something that was classified. People working with classified information violate this security protocol on a daily basis and we'd have tens of thousand of people serving jail time if the cases weren't handled administratively as opposed to criminally.

If any FBI agents really are resigning it purely for political reason and not based upon any error in judgement by Comey, the FBI, or the DOJ that were all 100% correct in identifying the problem as being administrative and not criminal in nature.

Basically this whole thing is nonsense and what's worse is that Republicans are actually "playing dumb" by pretending that any real problems exist.

No Harm/ No Foul. Get over it and move on.

I think that's correct. I find no evidence that Comey leaked the letter. He just sent a notification that the FBI was looking into new data. Who actually leaked the data is anybodies guess.

That is what normal people call "wishful praying"...

The FBI didn't get the warrant necessary to READ the emails until two days ago...NO ONE knows what is contained WITHIN the emails...Currently, the FBI only knows that they were emails with "Hillary Clinton" in the "To" or "From" sections of the email, which HAD to come from Clinton's private server since she's already admitted she used no other server for email communications...

Seriously...I want an answer...

HOW do you know they are duplicates?...Be specific...

I think this is purely partisan hogwash.

In any case, even if you believe that Hillary Clinton should not be "prosecuted" as a "criminal," you must surely concede that her actions were--at the very least--sleazy. And those who utterly despise the existence of sleaze in politics should take this into account...

So are you saying that people are never punished for this type of handling of secret or classified material? I thought it was a felony.

It used to be, but now we know better thanks to the clear and concise rewriting of the law by Comey in his desire to not prosecute Hilly.
