You keep changing the subject, dontcha...
YOU talk about forgiveness. Posting an article which talks about gays forgiving Chick-fil-a.
I point out the usual requirements for forgiveness. Never hinting that I think gays need to forgive chick-fil-a.

You counter with a strawman. Proclaiming I think chick-fil-a needs forgiveness.
I point this out as a strawman.
You counter and move the goal-posts. Proclaim it's about the "public expression" of belief that bothers me.
I point out your allegation is b.s. I am not bothered by "public expression" and you have a need for victimization validation.

So you move the goal-posts again and talk about city councils denying chick-fil-a...

Each time moving farther and farther onto things I never even hinted at.

Each time it's an evolution to move farther and farther from your b.s. claims.
Not once learning from your mistakes, but keep on changing and moving the goalposts...

Sometimes some people would be able to communicate better if they would just understand logic and stop inserting their own assumptions into the conversations.

I was obviously asking you. The guy who posted that article regarding gays and forgiving chick-fil-a. YOU were the one who posted that article.
If I were to assume your tactic, I would proclaim you must think chick-fil-a did something that needs forgiveness...

And for the record? Part b) typically refers to Chick fil a donations to anti-gay causes.
NOT JUST a belief, which is automatically what you jumped to. It seems in these types of conversations often the person on the right wants to throw out a strawman and pretend it's JUST about "belief" and ignore what the people involved have done that stretches much farther than belief.

I never stated or even hinted that chick fil a needed gay forgiveness.
Can you show where that last statement is false?
Since the answer is no, can you admit with honesty that you assumed something you shouldn't have?

I read somewhere that Chick-Fil-A chicken breasts are actually made up of ground rooster penis pressed into a chicken breast mold.

I’m an agnostic queer woman who, of course, takes issue with Chick-fil-A’s anti-gay past but the company has moved on and we should, too.

context means something some folk, not as much to others it seems.

I have completely acknowledged the context.

YOU POSTED THAT ARTICLE is the context.
I never said that chick fil a needs gay forgiveness.

I have challenged you to show WHERE I supposedly said that, but you can't show that, can you...

The thing you really need to get through your head is my statement was a generic assessment of the topic of "forgiveness".
That's it.
I didn't even comment on whether forgiveness was "needed".

To spell it out for you (even though I know you'll stick to your pretense that you can read my mind), the author of your article is really talking about forgetting and moving on.
Her second sentence even states that. "... moved on and we should, too."

As an over-view, this crap is why I don't like discussing things with you.
You spend so much time insisting to put words in my mouth that I never said. You refuse to listen when people are telling you what they did and did not say.
It's a waste of time when your mind is already made up and you pretend that you can read minds.

look Foundit66, i don't mind discussing things with you. we even agree on some issues.
but the problem in this case is I CAN'T read minds. And if all one has to go by is a statement about forgiveness and then a question which ASK... in context....
has CHICK-fil-A asked for forgiveness, or Has CHick-fil-a stopped it's problem behavior.
"Have either of these actually occurred?"
well at that point we're off in that direction.

based on the article there's no one else to wonder about Asking forgiveness or bad behavior.
the articles writers bad behavior?
my bad behavior?
the articles bad behavior?

sorry no

Look, you may have sincerely meant something else by your comment and question, so you say, fine. but what your comment and QUESTION implied was clear.

Neither one of those questions assumes that chick fil a needs forgiveness.
That's what you need to get through your head.

No. It really wasn't.
And what's even more annoying is how much time I waste trying to get you to understand that.

One of the things that amazes me about how badly this conversation has devolved is that you answered neither of the actual questions I asked. Instead waste my time trying to get me to defend a position I repeatedly tell you I don't have.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devil%27s_advocate

This isn't a one-time occurrence with you but a recurring pattern. You want to believe that I have a problem with others expression of belief. You want to believe that I ...
The list goes on and on.

If you don't understand after that, I don't know what can be done...

While chick-fil-a is leading the way in removing chemical filled chickens from fast food in the US.

Chick-fil-a who have already been brow beaten into only PASSIVELY acknowledging the terrifying family values agenda of --one man and one women = a marriage and basis of family-- can't be tolerated to exist in their presence.

but drugs, free or paid premarital heterosexual, homosexual, transexual, pan species sex is OK! promoted at parties and in CLASS! Muslim women walking the campus in burkas or head wraps is OK! that's "their culture"!! Rappers ---white, black and asian-- calling women fat Bitches and Whores is OK and the music is brought and sold freely on and off campus without a murmur of complaint about any "offensive" against anyone.

what's wrong with this picture folks?
I don't think you are allowed to say Man and Woman in the same sentence with the word marriage any more. It's offensive, and hurts the feelings of the weak minded and coddled youths. Gay and Straight.
