I will not fundamentally disagree with that assertion.

Phrased another way: If the choice were between government-sponsored healthcare for all or private healthcare for those who are willing and able to pay for it (Medicaid, of course, serves the poor), I would prefer the latter. Without a moment's hesitation.

Healthcare in this country is ridiculously expensive with pathetic returns that put our national healthcare results on par with third world nations.
Are you admitting Republicans have no interest in fixing American healthcare?

Not at all. I'm stating that the Republicans have no obligation to your opinion as to what is good for me personally or to the country as a whole.

Well, my own healthcare insurance (among in-network providers) pays 100 percent for hospitalization, and 85 percent for doctors' services. (For out-of-network doctors--it is a PPO--it pays just 60 percent of the Plan Allowance. So it is best to stay in network.)

Perhaps even more importantly, there is an annual cap of $5,000 in out-of-pocket expenses for a single person (or $6,000 for an entire family).

Its current cost: $87.82 per month for a single person, or $204.98 for a family.

That really does not strike me a being "ridiculously expensive."

And the coverage is certainly not "pathetic," as I view it.
