Republicans are making noises about how it would be bad for Obama to declare amnesty for illegal aliens by fiat but not making the case for why it would be bad politically and for the Presidency. ...
and they are NOT making noises like they are going to work on an IMMIGRATION BILL!!!!

Quite frankly, the poll is like asking "Would you rather the donkey or the elephant fix your car?"

When truthfully, I would rather have a mechanic make an honest assessment of what needs to be fixed and then use the right parts for the job.

There's more to that poll...
Quote:
While there's much for the GOP to crow about in the survey, Gallup also found that 44 percent of Americans believed Republican control of Congress would not make the country any better off. Thirty-six percent said a GOP Congress would make the country "better off," 19 percent said it would leave the country "worse off," and two percent had no opinion.
So it's rather obvious that the poll is really about the lesser of two evils. Not confidence in Republicans.
BOTH parties should be ashamed of the state of affairs.

But I guess the question for Repubs is What direction do you got?
Somehow I think it's going to be the same tired old tunes we've heard since before 2008. I don't expect any real leadership from them to fix the problems as much as they will insist on trying to blame the current situation to gain political advantage.

It just shows people are stupid. Polls also show overwhelming support for an increase in the minimum wage. Then they vote in a party who could give a shlt what people are paid. I wouldn't trust the American people right now on much.

I pay 2K+ per month for family health insurance. IS it "fair" for anyone who is self employed to pay any less? What the F'ck does your income have to do with any of this? The ACA does exactly that, it takes into account your income when setting your premiums. BS to that. No other transactions occure in my life that takes this into account, other than taxes, and I pay my fair share of those too....

No more freeloaders in the sytem is the answer. And some simple laws govenering health insurance providers.

If the ass is going to make illegals more "legal", then the ACA should be the first target to defund, and do it tommarrow. Teach this M.... F...'er a lesson ASAP.

Let's face it. It's the insurers pushing the costs up. Not Obamacare or doctors. We need to get insurers out of the healthcare business. This is not political. It's just a fact. Insurers add nothing but costs. They have us all arguing pro or against Obamacare while they walk away with the loot either way. Wake up and stop being used by politicians.

Really? After shutting down the Federal government while bragging that he would not negotiate with House Republicans a triumphant Obama announced that Republicans needed to win elections before they could expect to have their ideas considered. Well, they won but the rules changed, the hundreds of House passed bills gathering dust thanks to Harry Reid's fanatical partisan intransigence are ignored. Instead, let's pretend they don't exist and Republicans have kept their ideas secret for the last 6 years.

What does it say about Obama and the Democrats that they don't know, or claim not to know, any of the Republican agenda? Oh wait, Obama told us vote Republican for dirty air and water.

People in this country are so dumb they vote against their own best interest. Take the internet for example. Net neutrality is going to fail. We will all get screwed and it's the right that is going to do it to you because they are in the pockets of big corporations and you don't care. Now there will be a tiered system where the rich will control high speed internet access and your website will be slow. You must like that because you just voted for it all in the guise of getting those Dems. Same with tort reform. It will be tilted towards big business advantage and you will have a hard time getting recourse if you are a little guy going against the same big corporations. You have voted for an increase in the debt. You have voted against anything for the little guy. Tax breaks and incentives, minimum wage increase. All for the people who really need the break. But they will cut corporate tax for you because you really need that. They told you you did so they must be right. I remember the responses to Obamacare. The rights ideas were tort reform designed to bring down healthcare by making it hard to sue an insurance company. Their other plan was increased deductibles so to bring down premium payments. That was the rights healthcare plan. So whine over Obamacare until the cows come home. The right had and still has no plan until insurance companies tell them the plan. The right has no plan for the middleclass that is under employed. School costs will rise and there will be nobody working to get those school loan interest rates reduced. The right has already opposed that idea. So they really do nothing for anyone but big business. But big corporations are the gods of the right wing in America.

I don't believe Republican control of Congress would not make the country any better off right now either...

But WHY???????...

My answer?...Because we have a guy named Barack Obama in the office of the president, and the Republicans were voted in to STOP HIM and his policies...That doesn't make the country better...It just prevents the country from getting worse...

How many of that 44% have the same answer?...
