It seems our less-than-free press (our lap dog MSM) has willingly relinquished skepticism in favor of ass kissing. Those that don't kiss the ass of the regime in power are now denied access?

This can't end well, as a complicit press allows those in power to collude and prevaricate at will.

"Stonewalled" My Fight for the Truth against the Forces of Obstruction, Intimidation, and Harassment in Obama's Washington". Sharyl Attkisson's book will be out in the fall.
( A portion of the proceeds are being donated to the Univ. of Florida Brechner Center for Freedom of Information).

Attkisson and others felt that the Bush Administration wasn't good concerning information and transparency and were hopeful when Obama was elected, but it's turned out that this administration is much worse. I think it's critically worse.
Some of us just want the truth and FOIA documents along with subpoenaed documents allow us to bypass a lot of the spin and distortion to see what's going on. But, the issue has been documents and the cat and mouse game associated with revealing them, including strategies to deny FOIA's.

In the end, critical documents will be withheld by Executive Privilege -- the last defense of a corrupt administration.

The question, tho, is who will be thrown under the bus? ... Hussein? ... or Hillary?

I am sure that that is exactly what they thought.

The specter haunting the halls that night was Mogadishu where the corpses of US soldiers were hauled through the streets by AL Queda supported war lords. With that memory fresh in their minds neither Hillary nor Panetta were going to attempt to rescue the besieged Americans not with an election so close at hand.

It is clear Obama lacks the capability to handle bad news constructively, simply declare I won to Republican demands for changes to the stimulus, fire the General he appointed to head the war in Afghanistan with no inquiry about the problems there, and touted the ACA website as easy to use, are all examples of a bad leader who personalizes failure as an attack. Hillary and Panetta were only too aware of the likely consequences of awakening Obama from his sleep.

From FNC:

Quote:
A top military intelligence official at the time of the Benghazi attacks testified Thursday that U.S. personnel "should have tried" to help Americans under fire on Sept. 11, 2012, in an unprecedented public statement from a leading military officer.

Retired Brig. Gen. Robert Lovell, who at the time of the attacks was the deputy intelligence director at U.S. Africa Command, questioned the merits of the ongoing debate over whether U.S. military forces could have responded in time. Leading Pentagon and other military officials previously have argued that additional U.S. assets were not deployed to assist Americans under attack that night because they weren't close enough.

"The point is we should have tried," Lovell told the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, in his opening statement.
"As another saying goes -- always move to the sound of the guns."

He later said the military "could have made a response of some sort." Lovell, who was stationed in Germany during the attack, made clear repeatedly that the military was waiting for clearance from the State Department to intervene in Benghazi.

Lovell also sharply countered claims that the intelligence community and military initially thought this was a protest over an anti-Islam video gone awry. He said U.S. officials knew this was a "hostile action" from the outset, even though they didn't know how long the attack would last. [Bold added]

Depends on who wins the power struggle. Right now, it is a toss up, but I do believe Obama will eventually lose and will have tire tracks all up and down his back. Obama will lose a lot of backing when he leaves the White House.
