It sure hasn't happened, since Bush/Cheney took office.

We continue to be the longest on-going Constitutional Republic in the history of the world. We're still living by the same document originated at our Nation's founding....238 years ago!

A belated Happy 4th of July ~ Independence Day, aaronssong!

I hope you can muster enough inside you to celebrate just how "exceptional" a Nation we are!

We are an exceptional nation....but just like Michelle Obama said, for the first time, in a long time, I'm proud of this nation, for allowing Barack Obama to get as far as he has....I completely lost my faith, Jan 20, 2001. Sorry.

No need to apologize if that is how you feel.

January 20th, 2001 represents Bush becoming President. You must have a very small view of America.

America is much more than that, and will continue to be no matter who wins this next election.

For all of the criticism that America receives, the world without America is a much different place. Much, much different.

And you represent, precisely, what is wrong with America, "viewing itself through rose-colored glasses....it ain't all apple pie and 4th of July.
There is a lot of ugly and injustice, and folks taking advantage of other folks, via "the system".
Indeed, I have the smallest of views of America, as it exists now....but my heart is uplifted and my hope encouraged by the prospect of an Obama presidency....for that will represent "change" and a step in the right direction, that has been a long time coming.

You obviously didn't read it. Or, even attempt to.

I have found most of his posts to be along those lines. Thoughtless drivel slathered with perpetual outrage.

I am surprised that tristan found it so excellent, too.

How poetic...I see I'm still important in your book, that you pay attention.
I'll try to lower my standards, and come down to "your" level, so that you can better understand.

I rest my case. You do a flawless job of proving it for me, Big Time.

Talk to someone who was a prisoner of war at the hands of the N. Koreans and the red Chinese. Even the women were combative and abusive. That was war.
