While there are around 140,000 American soldiers in Iraq. There are 100,000 private dod contractors that are paid thousands more then our regular military. In the long run maybe not having to cover their medical and psychological damage is an economical advantage. But who is following up with what psychosis are they bringing in to the community. And what kind of moral degrader are their wages to our men and woman? Not to mention accountability. I don't like it very much at all.

But you can't think just in terms of wages...

While the military gets PAID less than contractors, the government also has to pay for housing, equipment, ammunition, food, travel, and 80 gazillion other supplies that contractors have to get either through their own company...or even themselves...

Also, your complaint is equally "unequal" as saying "that car salesman is making more than that firefighter" right here in America...
