I am so tired of our politicians thinking they can bring peace to the middle east or change the minds of suicide bombers!
Look what we did for the Japanese economy! And they have been our ally ever since. And don't tell me that was easier. The Japanese Imperialists were about as different from us as different can be with their kamikaze lovin azzes.
I think we could even get the defense contractor lobbyists to rally around this scenario. Seriously.
Beat those swords into iPods and bridges!
Declare martial law over conquered countries starting with Iraq.
Afghanistan we could redo the whole damned place like we rerouted the Columbia River and blasted railroads and highways through the Rocky Mountains.
Libya and Egypt. Soon Syria too I'll bet.

Do you know the crazy budget we are asking for on defense? Let's not start another war with it let's get a clear plan under way. Instead of Israel being the only democracy surrounded by Taliban and Palestinians, instead Iran will be the only religious oligarchy left.
In the case of Iraq we won. So it's ours to Instead of sending help (for them to sell or filter down to a few people), we just take over, set up governments (maybe too late right now for Iraq but...) If we call it a win in Iran for sure we ought to route out every vestige of old crummy Russian dumas (which are a sham anyway) and get some profit out of the old oil bed.

Personally, I think we should just get the hell out of the middle east altogether and let those barbarians have at it as they have for thousands of years and will for thousands more.

We are not the saviour of the world as our government likes to think we are. We have enough problems right here in America that need tending to and we have no business spending our hard earned taxed dollars on wars where it isn't doing us a damn bit of good anyway. No matter how hard our government tries, there is no reasoning with a government that allows it's people to be ruled by a religion that sees fit to lop of the heads of anyone it chooses. Barbaric.
