The other thing that pisses me off is when they have full conversations in Spanish right in front of me, or when it is a conversation I am involved in. It is just rude and disrespectful.

I was at the local DMV on my lunch hour (I work in a town that's about 1/3 Hispanic) and the branch manager walked out and informed the four or five Hispanics sitting there that if they didn't speak English, then it was THIER responsibility to get an interpretter. He wasn't rude about it, but neither was he going to take any crap about it either.

Maybe you think I care one whit about those sorry foreigners who have a work visa, but cannot understand the language of their host country enough to get by. I don't.

. I can't understand a word you Americans say anyway. It is bad enough to hear some UK people speaking the Queen's English, but you over there across the Pond have made English unrecognisable (yes, with an s, not a zee!). ![]() |
