color me shocked. I guess minorities aren't as stupid as some people think they are.
Yes...I didn't choose articles that only agree with me in their conclusions. There is a real discussion to be had, IMO.

Read some of the others so you can understand both sides, if you wish to understand.

You don't give a sh!t anyway, so you shouldn't waste your time trying to enlighten yourself with differing opinions.

I've already read and listened to "both sides". I've yet to see any legitimate argument as to why minorities are too stupid to get ids. Seems pretty ****ing racist to me. I guess that's why I tend to reject the notion.

It isn't readily available...you obviously didn't read that many counties don't even have an ID office, for instance in Tx there are 127 of them (mostly rural and/or poverty stricken areas).

Are you saying that minorities purchase copious amounts of liquor?
I'm saying that Obama supporters obviously consume huge amounts of liquor. It's one of the explanations for them. And yes, I state categorically that drunks are a minority. (Too bad for Democrats.)

As for minor difficulties in getting IDs for people too feeble to function usefully in Society, TOUGH!

An ID isn't a luxury, it is a mandatory tool for modern life. They can very well get one like anyone else. That is their civic duty, and a requirement for the legal purchase of their liquor, needle programs, for cashing public assistance checks, registering for public housing and for securing the services of bail bondsmen.

What is wrong with the Left? For crying out loud, are your silly arguments so impotent that you really feel that you need the support of the very few people too brain dead to get an ID? Look at yourselves!

It's too bad you feel the way you do...but i knew my opinions and those, and there are many - to include judges - wouldn't move you.

Have a nice evening, OC.

I have empathy for those that have obstacles put in the way of their right under our Constitution to vote. You don't...pretty simple. I am ok with agreeing to disagree.

You don't give a sh!t -you said it yourself: "Plus, how in the ****ing hell would I know what some person I've never heard of and know nothing about is going to vote? And why the **** would I care?"

I would too. If that were happening. Fortunately, it's not.

That is in regard to some people making insane accusations about people wanting to suppress voters with voter id laws. I am for voter id laws. I have no idea how any person I've never heard of and don't even ****ing know is going to vote. I don't have a ****ing clue who they are going to vote for. On top of that, why would I ****ing care who they vote for? I don't care who they vote for and I have no way of knowing who they may or may not vote for. So how in the ****ing hell could the vote of some people I don't even know exist drive me to want voter id laws in order to suppress their votes? It makes no ****ing sense.

Unless we assume that those so overwrought about people to mental;y enfeebled or criminal being inconvenienced in casting probably illegal votes would automatically vote in their cause.

Or to be blunt: Democrats want the criminal vote, and they're going to fight for it.

I mean jesus. My 15 year old niece has a ****ing picture id. She's ****ing 15 and could still figure it out. It's astounding to me that there's such a large group of people who really and truly believe that minorities are too ****ing stupid to figure out how to get picture ids. And for some reason they also think that these idiots who can't figure out how to get an id are going to vote for obama. Why? Because only idiots vote for obama, maybe? I don't ****ing know. But this is just asinine. And it's disgusting to me that that many people are that ****ing racist and at the same time claim they're trying to help the very people they think are retarded.

The Republicans are not specifically targeting Minorities to suppress the vote, they are passing laws that they know will suppress the vote among specific groups of voters. You claim it's not happening.. that only proves you aren't paying attention to reality.

Why is it that of all the voter ID laws and other laws to be passed in the last two years are all put forth and pushed through by republican majority state legislatures ?..
Why would cutting early voting time slow down or stop the voter Fraud that they they claims exists?
Why pass a law stating that a person must have a PHOTO ID... Then when a college student shows up with a photo ID change the Law to limit the "TYPE" of photo ID a person must have?...

The Republican party looked back to the 2008 election and figured out where Obama picked up a lot of votes, then they go out and specifically pass Laws to limit that same vote from occurring in 2012.

Take The Pennsylvania Voter ID law for instance. Not only did the State Senate Majority Leader specifically state that the new Voter ID law would allow Mitt Romney to win the state, They could not prove one single case of in person voter fraud during the court hearing.
The million or so people who will be effected simply happens to be predominately African Americans who live in the suburbs where the main means of travel is by rail and bus. These are people that have no need for a drivers license. Many of them are elderly retired people who wouldn't have the records necessary to obtain a Photo ID. People have to register to vote, their citizenship should be challenged at registration, not at the voting booth.

The one thing that the Republicans weren't counting on was that most of these Laws are being stricken down in the courts. The Plan is going to backfire on the Republicans who are trying to suppress the Democratic vote.
