She was confronted, not attacked (as the youtube title suggests).

Idon't know how to judge this one. Dissent is an important part of our society, but at the same time, the ability to conduct business/interviews/etc becomes nearly impossible if it is a constant shouting match.

With rights come responsibilities...

By establishing THEIR right to free speech, they stomped on others' right to free speech...

Remember...An establishment or organization...not even the government... has an obligation to provide a platform for anyone's free speech...

So someone can say what they want....but not if it interferes with previously established boundaries set forth by whomever is sponsoring the event...

When you "confront" someone outside acceptable parameters or guidelines,it can be viewed as an attack on free speech.I view this as an attack and I would have escorted the violator to the nearest curb. Code Pink is an embarrassment to all who honor free speech and decorum.

That is where the conflict comes in for me.

I believe that a certain amount of orderliness is needed for any event...

But how should a person react when political officials ignore (don't bother to listen to) their concerns.

I believe that there are times when civil disobedience IS appropriate. Maybe not there, but HAD there been a LARGE angry presence, maybe someone would have seen a need to react to the concern itself.

Does that make sense?

You...

You're saying one or two people won't make dent in a politician's concerns, but a LARGE group doing this would...

Your words...

Absolutely wrong!...

You know what you should do when you believe "political officials ignore your concerns"?...

You vote them out!...You got a problem with someone who gets appointed?...You vote their boss out!...

YOUR CONCERNS aren't EVERYBODY'S CONCERNS...

The second a politician does what YOU want is the second they do something someone else DOESN'T want...

And innappropriate behavior is NOT the way to change it...If it was, then that's an admission that this should be done for ANY reason by any ONE person who feels the same passion for ANY issue...

Which will leads to MORE inappropriate behavior...

That's like paying off a kidnapper...It shows kidnapping works...
