At least here you get to control all the money and all the sex.
It doesn't matter where we live, we still "have it bad" as long as men have legal rights and freedoms that we don't, simply because of our sex... and as long as the law places restrictions upon us which it does not place upon men, simply because of our sex.
We are not second-class citizens. We pay the same amount of taxes as men do. Why should we be subject to sex-specific legal restrictions? Why should behaviors that are not crimes when men do them (such as swimming without a shirt) be crimes when women do them?

And do the same laws apply to men? Men are allowed to be topless only if their motives are judged to be "non-prurient"?

You do realize that a lot of these laws came about because of women?

No, I do not realize that.
I know the restrictions in my city were abolished because of women, however.
I guess they got sick of crouching in a public toilet stall to feed their babies.

Look up Susan B. Anthony and the Women's Christian Temperance Union (WCTU) sometime. Not only did they want to outlaw alcohol, they also demanded strict morals. In a lot of ways, they did a lot of good for the women's progressive movement, but they also exibited strong puritanical attitudes, some of which are alive and well today.

Read up on them when you get a chance. They were the precursor to NOW.
