They're going to go all Kubler-Ross will be my guess. It will be the five stages.

Denial - The talking heads will keep talking until they realize nobody's listening anymore. The MSM is going to be so damaged by all the dirty doggery they'll be doing between now and their boss's bum's rush out the White House door they'll be about as popular as the snatch-and-grab tow truck driver that grabs your car from the parking lot with the hidden "No Parking" sign. They'll be yammering as if somebody's listening until they realize even the few remaining with the pinwheel eyes who used to make up their audience are hiding in basements consoling themselves with bowls of oatie crunch. The Franfurtian horde of anal bureaucrats, and Alinskyites will be standing on the street corner ranting and puffing out their chests. Somebody might flip them a quarter.

Anger - The guys who have spent the last four years mocking those who have noticed how dirty voting has become will all of a sudden start hollering "Fix!". They won't be heard over the loud laughter.

Bargaining - The rebirth of the bluedog Democrat. Actual classic liberals will look around and say "Hey what was with all those Progs anyway? They were kind of commies weren't they?" Then they'll look about, and cry out, "We have reformed America. See us? Red, White and Blue. Yoo hoo. Go America. Let's bomb something." The actual Progs will go back into hiding like they did the last time they got caught as commies. Every once in a while they'll sneak out to check the climate saying stuff like, " those damned stinky Occupiers, eh. We never liked those guys you know. That Obama what a tool, eh?"

Depression - "Boo hoo hoo, we're such victims"

Acceptance - History says things will get better. Hopefully it will be like the last time Progs were revealed as nothing more than Commies. Hey...maybe there will be another JFK.

If obama loses in november and especially if the senate goes republican then we will get to see how republicans rule. They've never done well in the past. Certainly not with spending under reagan and gwbush.

He'll salve the election loss with a massive advance for the next book Bill Ayers writes. Then he will start his campaign for 2016. Suddenly not compromising will become patriotic. He will host a series of townhall meetings where hand selected participants will bemoan cutbacks to their welfare state benefits by the heartless Republicans.

The first Mormon President and family will be described as uncool yokels, white bread. Most of the press will be focused on Obama's long march.
