It doesn't open in Chrome.
Try IE or Firefox...

The article reads like something I would get in the e-mail, google on snopes, and then post how it's glaringly false.
You'll notice it is absent of ANY fact that could be verified.

It's claimed as a "local" paper with no info.
Woman's name is not given.
No date info given.
"Hornet Drive", but no city name.

Actually, my first thought if it happens to be true is "insurance fraud". That would be the most obvious answer, although not politically convenient for the class warfare...

This is the sort of crap that will probably wind up getting e-mailed for years to come as it hits the high notes for conservatives who don't give a crap about verifying the truth before passing it around...

It's like we're seeing an urban legend being born. I cannot wait to see this on my Facebook feed.

I received a scanned image of the story in my email and decided to see if I could verify it as a real article. I found this PDF file of an apparent newpaper page:

Looks pretty real to me.

Move along folks. Nothing to see here. Just because the Obama Administration has put more people on food stamps then ever before, it has nothing to do with this. It couldn't possibly be that this woman is gaming the system. Obama wouldn't allow it.

I've seen this first hand. While working a couple of Thanksgivings at a food shelter where we handed out free turkeys and and food stuff for a complete dinner we had folks coming in looking like they were homeless and then walking a block or two away and getting into Cadillac and Lincolns. Most, as they drove away were laughing their asses off. These are people who have an entitlement mentality and don't care that they are taking food away from someone who really needs it.
