Here's one I bet isn't in the movie.

Enron were among the first supporters of Cap and Trade, and helped to imagine the idea, then push it.

They didn't mind regulation if they could shape it.

Actually their creator was key in deregulating American business practices. Way to derail though.

How is that derailing. It's relevant.

You say the fact these guys were dirty dogs and wanted to deregulate stuff that impeded them is important.

I say, yes they were dirty dogs, but they were for a thing that if passed would have been the most intrusive network of regulatory mismanagement ever.

They supported the global warming fraud. That's where a ton of misguided regulation spring from.

They supported regulation if they saw a way to make a buck from it.

That's relevant.

Don't pick a fight with your title then whine when you get one.

Whatever they "supported" was a fraud. They were to quote their own words "a black box", turns out an empty box.
A huge part of the reason they were allowed to do these things and get away with it was deregulation.

The deregulation had little to do with the criminal activities of Enron. What they did was still against the law either way.

Afraid to watch. I thought so. And it doesn't even purport itself to be a political film. It's been out a good while and it's free on Hulu. So no one's really interested in it as a piece of viral media.
Though the show is decidedly not about deregulation itself it clearly shows that that was the ignition that had to take place before the engine of things like Enron could do their run. It also explains exactly what happened in the California black outs, which is something I didn't clearly understand before.
