Having trouble with the link (probably me and not the link), but found another source for the story.

According to this article, his sister witnessed the attack and saw approx. 20 people beating her brother (20 is a far cry from "multiple"). I cannot imagine how horrifying an experience that was...for both of them.

If that we me and my brother, I would have run inside and called the cops and quickly gone back outside with a gun and fired warning shots (into the air) and prayed that none of those thugs had any firearms.

now why would you say this? who called for violence. in fact i think these people specifically called for non violence. Maybe you should blame the police who didn't investigate better before releasing Zimmerman.

Right, if they had just gone ahead and lynched Zimmerman like they should have then none of this would have happened.

The fact the prosecution has such a thin case the charging document was a single page containing no proof as to what happened doesn't matter,it is all about ginning up race hate to get Obama a second term.

Why exagerate? They did a piss poor investigation. Nobody denies that. They didn't even check Martins cell phone before letting Zimmerman go. You can pretend they did a good job. But you know they did not and that is peoples beef. That was mine. Nobody has called for lynchings.

You should really read the article you posted.

When I read about Owen's background, his relations with the neighborhood and the statements from some of the people quoted - I get the strong sense that there is more to this beating than a case of "justice for Trayvon" that you make it out to be. Perhaps you chose a bad example for your soapbox?

One person - possibly making a comment about Trayvon doesn't mitigate these other factors.

Thank you police, for playing this down and not encouraging race-baiting - from either direction.
