We spend a lot of time and energy discussing the various wars around the planet, war on terror, war on drugs, war on crime, war on Islam, war in Iraq, war in Afghanistan, war between arabs and Israeli's, war between good vs evil, etc., but there is another war we fight that makes all those other wars possible. Without this war, those other wars would dissipate as fast as a hurricane over land. And that war is...
"The war between people who tell the truth and the people who try to supress it"
The people who tell the truth, could be anyone. The people who suppress it, are usually those in power and the people that align themselves with it. Examples of this are everywhere, in every country. And you don't have to be a rocket scientist to see who is on which side.
If you want to see who the suppressor's are, some of their red flags are:
- attacking anyone who says anything negative about a certain group they align themselves with
- laws that criminalize dissent
- people who spend all their time trying to kill the messenger, instead of addressing the criticism
- people who demonize anyone saying anything contrary to their own personal views
- people who constantly try to make the issue about the person making the criticism, instead of what the criticism is about
- people who are indifferent to injustice and atrocities committed by one group on another
- people who try to control all forms of media
- people who make baseless accusations they can't prove (or not even try to prove)
The simplest one of the bunch, is people who demonize their perceived enemies.
All those things I just mentioned, are responsible for the most heinous acts of evil in human history. Those suppression technique's made it possible for the nazis to kill 6 million jews. They make it possible for continued Israeli tyranny against the Palestinian's. They make it possible for us to invade country's that didn't attack us. They make it possible to be in a state of war for over 10 years and rarely seeing anyone speaking out against it.
Now for a few examples...
On Jan. 17, Spanish judge Baltasar Garzon had “gone on trial in the country’s supreme court on [three separate] charges of abusing judicial powers.”
Garzon is the spanish judge who...
in March of 2009 he stated that Spain could bring charges against six Bush Jr. administration officials for clearing the way for the use of torture during the Iraq War.
The reaction by the US government was not to get to the truth of the matter, or to show evidence why the charges were without merit, but to suppress the actions of the judge. In a cable released by Wikileaks,
The U.S. Ambassador to Spain in 2009, Eduardo Aguirre describes his actions (in a diplomatic cable made public by Wikileaks in 2010) in relation to Garzon’s investigation of the Bush administration’s torture policies as follows, “behind the scenes we have fought tooth and nail to make the charges disappear.”
The significant word here is “disappear” for there are two approaches to suppressing an unwanted truth. The first is to create a counter-story that makes the truth appear untrue. The second is to simply suppress all evidence, all references, all interest so that the particular truth just “disappears.”
In another released cable, we find out...
Aguirre managed to get the cooperation of Spain’s Chief Prosecutor Javier Zaragoza who is quoted in another U.S. diplomatic cable (also made public by Wikileaks) to the effect that he had a plan to “embarrass” Garzon into dropping his case against the Bush officials by misrepresenting Garzon’s actions in previous cases. This sounds like a bit of blackmail.
People who make negative comments about Israeli actions, know all about this kind of treatment. Anyone who say's anything that has the color of negativity towards Israel, becomes a target of a smear campaign.
As was the case in Germany in the 1930's. Starting with brownshirts, anyone who said anything against the nazi uprising, was attacked. Once the nazis got in power, they monopolized all forms of media. After that, they were able to lie to their entire population about what was going on and commit the most heiness acts of evil the world has ever seen.
This is also the case in todays climate with those pushing this Islamic threat of a caliphate and Israel's claims against Iran. It makes it possible for those committing atrocities not to be held accountable for their crimes.
But the one thing that is their mortal enemy in all cases, are those that dare to tell the truth to the masses. Just look at the reaction to Bradley Manning's reporting of a war crime in Iraq. The suppressors outrage is not of the act itself, but that the act was made public.
For those that speak out against Israeli atrocities, they are called "jew haters". For jews that speak out against Israeli atrocities, they're treated like Palestinian's.
The bottom line is, if you really want to rid the world of evil, have the desire to know the truth, the discipline to do what it takes to find out the truth and the courage to speak it to others against all threats (including death).
