"Can you guess what the three 'worst-run states in America' award-winners are?"

The financial website 24/7 Wall St. analyzed the worst-run states in America.

I guessed the worst 2 easy enough. #1's a cinch. I missed #3, but when I saw it, I said, Oh yeah.

1) California
2) Illinois
3) New York (because I can't pick "California" again)...

Actually, I was thinking about Michigan because Detroit's so bad, but I didn't think it was the whole state...

Tampa Florida has like 12 or 13% unemployment. Most people who have insurance in that state now have it only because of Medicare. The wages are historically low. And small businesses just went in the toilet in 2008, so I think this article is a little BI-ASSED. Michigan and the others aren't RUN badly resulting in these figures; they are some of the worst hit from the economic downturn. Florida had the highest peaks in housing hence the lowest lows.
What you're trying to prove imo is that Liberal leaning states with unions are fairing worse. That just isn't true. Ask anyone in south or central Florida.
Ask anyone in Reno or Las Vegas.

Could be...but seeing as this is about the whole state, I double-checked. Stop worrying. Unemployment went down from 10.6% to 10.3 last month. And in more good news the labor pool has actually grown.

And, actually, you know, I did consider Harry Reid's home state of Nevada when I was making my guesses for worst run state in America. I had heard how high the unemployment rate was there.

Replaced with what and by whom?

People who had good jobs are fleeing the state. There may be some taking up the slack because now someone's teenager isn't a busboy anymore.

I have family all over that state. And you can tell Mr Scott he is full of good old fashioned cow manure. It is pitiful down there. The suicide rate is what has gone up.

No you are not posting the facts. Look up the same statistics the article does for other states. Pick a red then pick a blue. I bet you will see prob;ems in all of them.
And the fact stands that how the states are RUN has nada to do with it. Look at the communities in Alabama filing bankruptcy. When is the last time they went Democrat? Huh?

Actually Salty, I'll let you in on a secret. I was having a little fun with you.

I know you're not a fan of clicking for the source, so I knew you wouldn't click for the secondary link. Worst case scenario was, you might try to guess.

So I'm sitting here smiling wondering to myself, I wonder how long it's going to take her to start spewing unsupported, emotion-charged rhetoric about her uncle Karl in Fort Lauderdale, or something.

OK, so I've had my fun. I can show you something like the info you request, and tell you there's more to these stats. To be truthful, you're right. They're not kind to Red states when you go past the top three.
