OK, so I've had my fun. I can show you something like the info you request, and tell you there's more to these stats. To be truthful, you're right. They're not kind to Red states when you go past the top three.

I did click your link. I didn't have to click a source because I may not have an Uncle Karl but I have an aunt and tons of cousins in St. Augustine, a sister and nephew in Jacksonville, and a brother in the Tampa St Pete area, another brother and a nephew in Ft Myers.
So I was already pretty sure I knew the score. And I have traveled through some places that lately looked pretty thin, looked at their sales and want ads. The cry for down town businesses to come back is like with the Oklahoma City bombing. A year later they still had discount office space.
So mess with me.

Actually Florida is just # 40. Doesn't look great, but beats being # 50, I guess. (Could be even worse than that. In Obama-world you could be # 57)

I guessed the worst 2 easy enough. #1's a cinch. I missed #3, but when I saw it, I said, Oh yeah.

Do you base this simply on debt? Because when you start looking at other stats like education or poverty their are worse.

It still doesn't mean they are "run" any better or worse. Utah? fer chrissakes that there is nboom town lemme tell ya. I think this guy's facts are scewed.
