Also, it is different for women than it is for men. You are expected to carry a little extra body fat. I kind of like my women a little curvy. My men, however, need to be lean and toned.
Thanks. But regardless, what I mean is... I don't think it's necessarily indicative of "character flaws", or someone who is slow minded, or a drain on resources, or unproductive. Morbidly obese, yeah... sure, I can see that. But not just overweight folks, or even mildly obese folks.

Ok, then let's rephrase it and trade overweight for "obviously inactive".

From the photo's I've seen of various members here, I think you've just personally insulted quite a few people on this board.

Anywho, I don't think I'm obese, but I am overweight. I don't think I'm slower of mind, less productive, or a drain on any resources. And I don't think it's a character flaw. Now granted, I think when you let yourself get up to 700 lbs there's some kind of issue there for sure. But just being overweight - or even obese since that's what my doc calls me (the ****ing bastard) isn't in and of itself indicative of anything you mentioned.
I think your doctor needs to find a buddy that works on eyes because his are f*cked up.

LOL Thanks But he's going buy my height/weight. (which doesn't take bone density and muscle mass into consideration, mind you)

"Obese" seems like a stretch. Doesn't that mean more than 20 pounds overweight?
I'll probably be obese when this pregnancy's over. I've gained over 40 pounds, and still might gain a few more, if this drags on for another week and a half.

People who are generally healthy, should carry the weight that they feel comfortable with...... and ignore those who say it's a character flaw.

It is a character flaw when you have more chins than a Chinese telephone book trembling every time you take a breath and the only reason for it is that you sit your fat ass on the couch for 16 hours a day and eat junk food. It's a slothful, lazy, filthy and selfish way to live your life and it's utterly disgusting to normal people.
