To me it seems like the key to having a lively online forum is to attract idiots.

Two methods of having a lively forum...

The easy route...Let everyone in who attack and acts...well...like you're acting now...

This increases posts temporarily, but longterm will ONLY keep those people who want to attack...The people who'd like to legitimately converse will eventually get tired of the baiting and leave for greener pastures...

The harder route...To kick the idiots out who do nothing but instigate and KEEP the people who'd like to legitimately converse...They'll find it comfortable to stay and continue have discussions...Longterm the place grows slowly and steadily until it equals the amount of people the places the easy route took, but the value of each member is leaps and bounds higher...

The latter is what I'm shooting for...If you just want to play WWE Smackdown with your time, There is a place already available on the internet for you to happily wallow in that kind of crap...

I'm an issues and solutions guy and that is why I enjoy political forums. I like to hear everyone's take on an issue even if their position seems idiotic. Over the years I have modified my positions on some issues.This happened because I was willing to listen to what at first appeared to be idiotic viewpoints. Partisans have an extremely difficult time thinking outside the party.That's why the political divide is so wide,we need to listen to ourselves and more importantly..listen to what others are saying.

The old saying.."If you build it they will come" applies to political forums as well. We don't have to go out and look for idiots for this will occur naturaly.There are very few idiots on this site,they may be temporarily blind to the truth at least from our point of view but that's not idiotic,it's our opportunity to engage them and find answers via the crucible of debate.

I don't know about you, but I want folks tht honestly want to debate ideas and issues. I want reason and logic from the folks that come here.

I'm just tired of having to divide my time among 5 different sites.

I'd like THIS to be my one and only.
