As has been mentioned numerous times, most people don't have an issue with the so-called "violent rhetoric" from anyone. (which I personally think is just a retarded description)

What some of us take issue with is one group of people condemning "violent rhetoric" and wrongfully accusing another group of people of using it all the time and instigating violence. And then that same group of people using "violent rhetoric".

It doesn't have so much to do with the 'rhetoric' as it does the blatant hypocrisy.

Yuppers...

Analogy time...Maybe THIS will make Obama supporters understand...

Barney Frank admits his homosexuality, pushes for homosexual legislation, and is found to have been in a homosexual situation...

Barney Frank is not a hypocrite...

Larry Craig admits nothing of his homosexuality, pushes against homosexual legislation, and is found to have been in a homosexual situation...

Larry Craig is a top-tier hypocrite...

Why is it so easy for the Left to understand this analogy and not the hypocrisy of Obama?...(Don't answer...rhetorical)...

I have nothing against violent rhetoric as much as violent action. Like brandishing a firearm at a political event. That's just reckless and stupid and imo should not be allowed. **** we might as well just do a way with the no drinking on election day laws. All get drunk and try to hit the right punch card, vomit all over the voting booth...ok maybe that was a little graphic...

You and I have our differences on this issue and I see no reason to open up a debate we have more than covered in the past. So I hope we can agree, to disagree and just leave it at that.

Exactly. That is why it is important for those on the left, to speak out against the things Hoffa said and nip this sh_t in the bud. If it's not okay for the right, then it's not okay for the left. The door swings both ways and your comment about the "blatant hypocrisy", pretty much sums it up (what we're all thinking) in a nutshell.

The way I look at it those on the left have been stomped on spit at and **** at by hypocrites who cry foul if there is a picture of the President in the morning papers.
At this point we better see some action as in sign up voters -my version of kicking azz and taking names.

As an example: You want government to leave business alone and let them basically regulate themselves......... and I don't trust them to do it.

So we end up with some regulations, that I might think don't go far enough...... and you think go too far.

Why should either of us get our complete druthers?

Whereas the new attitude in politics seems to be that if one side doesn't get complete domination......... then it is a failure.

That is not only ridiculous, it is totally unattainable in a civilized society.

Please put me back on ignore until you can respond to me without tossing sideways insults.

I never said that you used the word "always", I merely expressed that compromise is not "always" a solution.

Please put me back on ignore until you can respond to me without putting false words into my posts.

Hoffa: Take these SOB's out.
Bachmann: Let's take out these bad people.

Both referencing the same grievance. I think pointing out selective outrage is very relevant.

I missed Hoffa's "racist" crap.

As far as beeing booed offstage for "spewing hate-filled crap" by a TP dipstick, hell........they get standing ovations for it.

I'm saying both sides do it, but you only see one as primarily responsible.

About the only thing left is to declare the "other" side.............evil and un-American.

Show me something where a speaker at a TP rally started a racist rant on stage and got a standing ovation. You made the accusation, now back it up. I say you're full of **** and want to justify your own party's hate by accusing the other side of doing the same.
He likes to pretend I said things that I didn't say also. It makes it easy for him to argue when he argues against stuff you didn't actually say.

Ultimately, all my formal protests are done in the voting booth.

You left out Sharon Engle and her "second amendment remedies".
