Default Happening Live - Sarah Palin in Wisconsin

This may only be interesting if you happen to around right now, as I'm posting.

Sarah Palin will be speaking soon live to a tea party rally in Wisconsin. You can watch it here...

Open thread: Palin in Madison, WI; Update: Live video added Hot Air

The left has been organizing a counter-rally for weeks now. There has been advertising for what I'll call violence. Throw cheese curds at Sarah - that sort of thing.

The infiltrators are there right now in full force.

What makes this tremendously fun is the warm-up speakers are having none of it. They're calling right back into the crowd with defiance. Too much to isolate, and quote, but this woman rocked.

..::.. Welcome to VickiMcKenna.com ..::..

"Yeah, it's snowing," she calls out, "but it was cold at Valley Forge too, so suck it up"

Sarah will be speaking soon, and the real fireworks will begin.

I'm getting burned out on Sarah Palin. I wish she would just give it a rest for a while.

If I was from Alaska, I'd be pissed.......

She had a nice little candy assed gig going and she quit because of "too much pressure" and then turns around and jumps into a volcano with Tea Party bus tours, book deals, a reality show and FOX camera face time........

She's a political whore just like all the rest.........

A large number are pissed.

Actually, "embarrassed" is a better description.

Her "favorable" rating by Alaskans has went from a high near 80%, to about 47% now.

The drop started right after McCain picked her and she started opening her mouth in public.

I know a bunch of Alaskans who thought originally that she was the antidote to the "Good Old Boys Club" that defined Alaskan politics forever, who were quickly embarrassed once they heard her talk on deeper subjects.

I think she mainly quit to make money.

She saw dollar signs and knew her star might burn bright, but short.

As far as that goes, I don't really blame her for doing it.

It was actually a win-win for her.......and Alaskan residents.

Damn, here I was hoping to see "Palin quits politics in order to raise her kid." But no such luck.

Yeah.

I'm sure she also had thoughts of maintaining her visibility in case of a run at being POTUS, but I think primarily she went after the money.

She had spent a lot of money on lawyers to fight her ethics charges and didn't make all that much as Governor ($125,000).

At $50K a pop for speeches, she can run around trying to be an "inspirational leader" ..............while raking in the dough.

“In the last few months, political professionals and insiders have been writing off the former Alaska governor and 2008 vice presidential candidate, convinced she won’t run for the GOP nomination in 2012 or ever. Then again, even those GOPers who are running can hardly compete with the MSM’s weird, all-consuming fascination with The Donald.

“But all it took was one powerful, pugnacious and presidential speech — just 15 minutes long — for Palin to again make herself completely relevant to the current political and policy battles raging across America…"
