Actress Pleshette Dies At Age 70

Pleshette made a mark in movies and the theater but is probably best known and loved for her role as the wife on the long-running TV sitcom, "The Bob Newhart Show." Comedian Newhart played a Chicago psychiatrist surrounded by eccentric patients. Pleshette provided the voice of reason.

Pleshette underwent chemotherapy in 2006 for lung cancer. Her attorney said she died Saturday night of respiratory failure.

I always thought of her as very sophisticated for being a commedienne...Sort of like the "anti-Roseanne"...AND she was a hottie...

She was a beauty,one in a million girls..

I have lost a great many friends and relatives to lung cancer..

So sad...R.I.P.
