Default I Am Mad As Hell At BP

I just watched a report on the deep sea horizon explotion. They interviewed one of the crew members that survived. I got to tell you someone needs to be prosicuted for this. For manslaughter. This company is out of hand and ignored serious safety malfunctions for weeks before the incident. Someone was overruling protocal for profit. If you watched this story you woiuld be as pissed off as I am. And now we find there is another rig much larger with more serious issues. We need to identify who this was making these dicisions and drag this piece of crap into a jail cell I mean now.

Anybody got any ideas how we get this accomplished?

I see BP as a God send to those of us who were beginning to be lulled into accepting drilling off Florida and Alaska as a necessary evil.
When all along it was just your garden variety run of the mill evil.

I would like to see somebody prosicuted so it makes an example to any other managers out there that if you make decissions to override safety you will go to prison. Otherwise nothing will change.

This is the sort of stuff that really pisses me off. 11 guys are dead. There is all the threads in the world to whine about how pols raise money. I said there should be government funded elections. But all of that stuff is a different conversation. This one is about holding accountable the person who allowed the situation to get to where it killed 11 people. You want to address that? Or do you want to talk about political fundraising?

Until people start voting for candidates that don't accept fund-raising bribes couched as campaign donations we will continue to get what we've got.

No, it was a resource operation used to keep the civilized world illuminated, fed, prosperous and healthy. If someone was negligent, they will no doubt be prosecuted.

As for drilling in and around Alaska, we here invite the members of the Lesser States to see to the conditions of their own minuscule regions first.
