But, Audi has the right deign for an engine, it's just that it's so tough to get it past Cal. emissions standards. Small displacement turbo-diesels are some of the most efficient vehicles around. Their problem is that most of them have particulate emissions that are too high for Cal., but are perfectly acceptable almost everywhere else in the country.

Giving a liberal facts is like throwing bacon at a vegetarian. All it does it piss off the vegetarian and waste good bacon.

I thought it was a funny commercial, plus, the song was a great take off of The Dream Police by Cheap Trick and I like the song (may the rock and roll gods spare me!). To me, it seemed to make fun of the ridiculousness of "The Green Police" and some extremes.

There was also a South Park episode made EXTREME fun of people that drive hybrids...it was hilarious!!

Whereas the Audi commercial was showing how the car conforms to them...

The commercial was mostly showing the Green Police and how ridiculous a group like that would be, and at the end, it shows the Audi.

It was a jab at the extreme...that's the way I saw it. I thought you would have had fun with this one.

I submit that if Audi REALLY believed that group was "rediculous", they would NOT be sending the message that their product is APPROVED by them...

Jeez Louise...ok, I can't believe you and I are arguing about this one.

Do you think that arresting someone right out of their hot tub because it isn't the right temperature shows ridiculousness? Or arresting a shopper because he chooses plastic instead of paper? How about arresting a city policeman for using a styrofoam cup? I do. It's satire, my friend. And a funny bit of it, I might add.
