There are dozens, maybe hundreds of different beliefs in this country, about Islam. And that confusion exists by design. Until we have a consensus this country will always be at a disadvantage or will be operating with a handicap.

Your "looking below the surface" is merely a way for you to justify your belief. Holocaust deniers are merely "looking below the surface". Those who say that Bush knew about 9/11 are just "looking below the surface". There are many who "look just below the surface" to vilify the entire Jewish population.
There are over 300 million different beliefs about Islam in the United States. Why? Because it's a persons OPINION of a religion. We don't live in a totalitarian state. Look at Iran for example. Iran is a totalitarian state and I'm sure that there are only a dozen different views of Christianity. It has NOTHING to do with the religion. It has EVERYTHING to do with the zealots and political extremists.
Your desire will create the modern moral equivalent of Nazi Germany where we are deporting Muslims.
