I've worked on the front lines and in political boiler rooms.I know what it's like,I've had staff cry and often curse when they are off the phone! As I have stated in this forum,Hillary has a better chance even with all that Clintonian baggage. Race remains an issue,we have come a long long way but we have miles to go before some will accept a black candidate.A black VP would have a much better chance, just stating a fact. Still..there may be enough voters who can get past skin color and their fear of reparations. The "dream" is still alive but race is not the only issue here.I like Obama but I still question some of his affiliations and his choice to remain in a congregation who is obviously anti-white.I may be able to get past that issue but I remain concerned with his lack of experience in a world filled with turmoil. If he selects Biden,I may jump ship and change my vote from Barr to Obama. This may be the only election in recent history where the choice in VP could make all the difference.

I'm hurt by the reasons they are voting for McCain. Most of it tracks back to bigotry in one form or another. "I'm just not comfortable voting for one of those negros." "He's a muslim." I'm sad, but most of all, I'm ashamed. I'm ashamed to be so closely tied with people who cannot see past the color of a mans skin or his name. I'm ashamed that we haven't moved beyond that.
You need to hand out with more Republicans....

(c'mon, that was TOO easy)

Stick with the right and we will need hand outs. I like Biden. I was hoping Obama would go with him. Still do. All the things that people complain about when talking about Biden is really nothing much. He is a quintessential American character. And he knows all of the ropes. For those that think that is important.

Biden nullifies Obama's main theme...

It's doesn't look good walking around telling everyone you're for "change" and "Washington's broken", then pick a VP whose been in the senate for the last 400 years...

If I were him, I'd go with a governor...get some of that "executive experience" he needs...

...or get someone with int'l experience and pick up some of that int'l experience he needs.

...or get someone with business experience and pick up some of that business experience he needs.

...or pick someone with leadership experience and pick up some of that leadership experience he needs.

..or......

You want to have it both ways. Where do you think McCain has been his entire career. And all he does is talk against "Warshington"

Another long night, but this one was much better. I'm still pulling for Richardson as VP. Sorry for the short response. Very tired and don't need to be burnt out before Denver.

It is gong to be very exciting learning the "final answer" of the two candidates on their VP choices!
Good rest to you.
