It's the law: No sagging pants in Chicago suburb

LYNWOOD, Ill. — Be careful if you have saggy pants in the south Chicago suburb of Lynwood. Village leaders have passed an ordinance that would levy $25 fines against anyone showing three inches or more of their underwear in public.

Eugene Williams is the mayor of Lynwood. He says young men walk around town half-dressed, keeping major retailers and economic development away. He calls the new law a hot topic.

The American Civil Liberties Union says the ordinance targets young men of color. (Yep some more nickle and dime B.S. form the ACLU, you can count on them.) (And I have seen "want to be black white males" (just using the ACLU stupid thought process) doing the same thing in all places I have lived. So there goes their defense!)

Young adults in the village, like 21-year-old Joe Klomes, say the new law infringes on their personal style. He says leaders should instead spend money on making the area look nicer.

I don't think the ACLU has a good handle on this. It's not a race thing. It's a pursuit of happiness thing. Many suits were fought in the sixties/seventies over long hair and long dresses (maxi). Mostly the kid's won the day.
Joe Klomes has a point.
I don't like the way young guys dress But I guess that has been said for many generations.
My better half says they will all go naked one day, and he's probably right.

Oh yes I agree it isn't race. Its impression by adults or older people and this image/style.

But we don't know the situation, crime rate, age etc., etc.

If the community really wants people to pull their pants up permanantly, they just need to send some old white guys out on the streets for a few days showing more than 3" of their tighty-whities. Problem solved.

Old white guys do it all the time though. And scratch their crotch and spit and dig like they got worms (maybe they do?). There's a whole group of them. I think they call themselves the Old Furts Club. They take new recruits to the edge of the playground in about the second grade and unfurl a long list of corny jokes. Then after the blood brother initiations, they tell the kid to memorize as many of the corny jokes as possible and retell them OVER and OVER again to family members to a point just short of justifiable homicide. .

I know my youngest brother is what 55. He lives with my dad. In the pix he is the one in diapers. He keeps bring up old. He isn't much to be the ring leader over. Dad yells get back here, he goes.

The second oldest thinks he is into Budda and several other , well he thinks we are to far behind him. I'm happy with that. Only veteran (non combat Nam Era I kept him out of the Nam and after all he saw in Japan he got back to the states, when I was leaving the Nam) that I don't really care for. I have no problem sticking to my standars. Honor comes first last and always.

He has very little! My daughter has little. So these people aren't part of my life. No pain or shame.
And number 3 my best friend is in the other life... Johnny. But he went before I married Donna.

So gang leader loooooool, nope... So it might be ring leaver...
