Default I'm gonna be a millionaire...

I'm thnking about selling my own version of carbon offsets. My plan is to collect a bunch of pine seeds (lots of those around) and then plant them in little boxes made from recycled cardboard. When they are about 3" tall, I can sell them as "carbon offsets" anywhere people gather in large crowds. It'll be "Why just let the big guys be the ones making a difference. Buy your own carbon offset and reduce your carbon footprint by planting a tree." At $3 a piece, with less than a buck in total overhead, I should be a millionaire in short order. Anyone want to buy a franchise???

Too late. Local chick here already doing it with silver maples. Do you want to buy a franchise from her?

Smoke more bud. It makes you have big ideas. I think there was a song about it. Hoyt Axton wrote it. Something about following a van of hippies. Somehow he gets stoned and writes a bunch of songs. But then can't remember any of them later.

If my memory wasn't so abused I could tel you the title.

"Hoyt Axton" Now there's a name that brings some old memories back. When I was working in the woods for dear old Dad, we had a gal working with us who loved Hoyt Axton songs. She had a great voice and was as cute as can be. She'd be working away singing "Della and the Dealer" at the top of her lungs. Ahhh, the good old days - .

Heartbreak Hotel by Elvis Presley Songfacts
Quote:
The lyrics were written by a steel guitar player from Nashville named Tommy Durden, who was once a dishwasher repairman. He was inspired by a newspaper story about a man who killed himself and left behind a note saying only, "I walk a lonely street." Another Nashville songwriter named Mae Boren Axton wrote the music, and Elvis' manager Tom Parker arranged for Elvis to receive a songwriting credit in exchange for singing it. This meant that royalties were split between Durden, Axton, and Elvis. In a 1982 interview, Durden said this song "has paid the rent for more than 20 years."
Yep, she's Hoyt's mama alright:
Mae Boren Axton - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Quote:
Mae was married to John T. Axton. Together they had two sons, country star Hoyt Axton and John Axton.
