Will you see Oliver Stone’s movie about Pres. Bush?

FROM CNN’s Jack Cafferty:

Coming to a theater perhaps even before he leaves office: “W”, Oliver Stone’s upcoming movie about President Bush.

A draft of the script describes our president as, quote “a foul-mouthed, reformed drunk who is obsessed with baseball.”

“The Hollywood Reporter” sent a draft of the screenplay to four biographers of the president to see how accurate they thought it was. Reactions were mixed; they say specific scenes are largely based in fact, but the screenplay shows inaccurate and over-the-top caricatures of President Bush and his inner circle.

One biographer says it “really misses the mark” of how the White House is run, leaving the impression that it’s similar to a fraternity house, with everyone using nicknames and casually chatting about going to war. Another biographer was skeptical about Stone’s claim that he wants to make a “fair, true portrait” of the president… saying that’s “like Donald Trump saying he is going to be modest.” Also, several of the experts say the script inaccurately depicts the president as being manipulated by White House staff when it comes to policy decisions.

Stone had no comment, but one screenwriter says he’s read 17 books on the president, and a producer says, “We’ve done our homework.”

They say they have done their homework, perhaps the source material came from the NYT. Anyway,I plan to see it,I enjoy "fiction" with a twist.Sadly, all too many will take this film as a historical documentary.

The ones who will enjoy it and believe are the same ones who already have pre-determined ideology against Bush in the first place...Only the choir will love the preacher's portrayal...

Exactly,Oliver Stone has no intention of presenting a historical account. He will shape the Bush Administration as he sees it and in that process contribute to his own bank account.

I'll wait until it's shown on cable for free.

I have no need to spend three hours more with G.W.Bush than is required of me in every day life.

I see enough George F'ng Bush on a daily basis, and I wouldn't pay an f'ng cent to watch a movie about him..

Oliver Stone? You've got to be kidding. Of course I will see the film. Granted I may not go to the theater but wait for the DVD.
I don't care if it's historical or not and if some take it as fact. The public does that all the time. Look at how we historically viewed (and some still do) the Alamo. The old films are almost pure fiction.
Besides, our government can poop on us and make us pay for it-we can use a little entertainment at there expense.

I'll watch it. I saw the movie they did with James Brolin as Reagan. I wasn't a Reagan fan but I thought they made him look like a buffoon. I hope its fair. That doesn't mean I will change my mind on his two terms as POTUS.
