That's all I have the energy for, after the day I've had.
I do Rice-a-Roni with veggies mixed in it for dinner sometimes. I like broccoli, onions and tomatoes it, sometimes with cucumber.

If you want to try them unhealthy but delicious, boil them in water waith some salt until almost done, but not quite.

Then, drain them and place them back in the pot on medium with some salt, pepper, garlic and butter and simmer in the pot until they are desired tenderness.

As long as you do not use too much butter, it is not bad for you. But if you splurge a little and add extra, they are good but get a little fattening and high calories.

I'll try that next time.
I already cooked and ate them this time, in my usual way- with lemon juice and garlic salt.

Mmm, I forgot lemon juice. I use that too. Goes great on them.

I use lemon and lime in a lot of cooking.

If you can't get them there I am sure the Pharmacist will recommend something similar. The last thing you need is malnutrition which may also affect your immune system.

Failing that can you puree meals into a soup or something? Some egg mixed in with the mashed potatoes is good.

Yes, we use it here for patients unable to eat. It will at least give you the nutrients you need, so you could take the required amount for a full day's nutrition. If you fancy something else (because it will get tedious) and you are able to tolerate a soft diet then that will make it less of a bore. If the costs of Ensure or similar are prohibitive compared to what you would pay for a normal diet perhaps you can get assistance. I don't know.

When I was in my car accident back in 2001, I was drinking Ensure every day, so I'm pretty familiar with it (and like it)...It's the original reason I had the 6-tooth bridge that just fell out in the first place...

I had lunch at Pizza Hut this afternoon, tuna and sweetcorn deep dish and salad bar, but there was no potato salad and so I will just have hummus and toast later on.
