![]() A 17 year old up and coming comic named Eddie Murphy had just finished his set at a club when Rodney Dangerfield gave him some advice on his act.
'Don't work blue. Don't use so much profanity and off color humor.' Even though Murphy had 'killed' onstage, Dangerfield's critique took all the wind out of his sails and he couldn't easily forget the legendary comedian's advice. Nonetheless, he realized he had to be true to himself and so he continued working 'blue.' Five years later he was appearing at Caesar's Palace and was in the men's room when who walks in and stands at an adjoining stall but Rodney Dangerfield. And after having not spoken to each other once since that previous encounter Rodney looked over at Eddie and said, "Who knew?" Last edited by bhkad; 10-20-2007 at 02:00 PM.. |
