Thumbs up Viral Video Shows Texas Mom Give ‘Whooping’ To Criminal Son

Discipline is important, and more parents should do it. This 14-year-old boy disabled the wi-fi so his Mom couldn't see him steal her new car, and when she found out, a very justified whooping occurred.

Quote:
A Texas mom was furious after learning her 14-year-old son decided to steal her car. So she tracked him down and gave him an old school belt-whipping by the side of the road in video tweets that have since gone viral.

The incident was captured by the boy’s sister, Liz Campero, on Oct. 12. Many people are applauding the woman’s action, opining that there would be a lot less crime and misery if parents actually disciplined children for their behavior like this woman.

Campero recorded the incident in a series of tweets as she rode shotgun with her mom, tracking down Aaron Martinez, the budding criminal.

“My [14-year-old] brother disconnected the Wi-Fi so my mom wouldn’t be able to see her cameras and took her brand new bmw to his gf’s house,” she began the thread. “I shouldn’t be laughing but damn.”

Blue Lives Matter wrote, “The theft occurred after Martinez disconnected the Wi-Fi in the family home so that his mother wouldn’t be able to see him on their security cameras.”

Then, the boy called his mom to report the fact that the Wi-Fi was down, “so she wouldn’t get suspicious,” because the security system would notify her when the doors were opened on the house.

His sister reported Martinez sneaked out the back door so he wouldn’t be seen taking the car.

He went and picked up his best friend, then went to their high school and over to pick up the friend’s girlfriend.

Apparently, the friend’s little brothers called their mom at work and ratted out the boys. The friend’s mom immediately called Martinez’s mom and explained what was taking place.

Campero, who lives next door to her parents, said her mom called her and asked her to check on the new car. The daughter confirmed that the car was gone, so her mom told her to meet her in the driveway with a belt.

The women carefully hunted where they thought the boy had gone and eventually spotted the car at a stoplight.

After that, everything was over but the crying.

The video showed Martinez’s mother pulling her Cadillac SUV alongside the BMW and screaming, “Pull over NOW!” in the voice exclusive to enraged mothers.

She pulled off the road behind the boys, and told her daughter to give her the belt.

In the video, the mom can be seen yanking open the car door and whipping the miscreant.

“She said when she opened the door, he was smirking, and as soon as he saw the belt, he wiped the smile off his face,” Campero told KTRK.

Update: I don't know why the video doesn't show up here, but it is at the link. Sigh.

I don't blame that Mom one bit, and I bet that teen won't do that again.

I hope that she would have been as angry with him had it not directly affected her as it was her car that he stole. I hope her outrage would have been the same regardless of the victim.

Something tells me she simply decided that it was time the boy got a good rearing. The puppet show with the car triggered it.

Child Abuse!!!!!!!

I wouldn't call this "stealing" though clearly it technically is.

Also, can you drive in Texas at 14?

You can call it creative driving if you want. I call it ass whooping time. Also, if you're living with mommy, and you're 18 or over, and you drive the car without permission, I don't think the driving age is something to wonder about.

In other words, all the laws of Texas about driving do not override a parent's authority.

He was 14 and needed his woopin and it shouldn't have ended there.

I was just thinking, kid probably didn't have a license. So on top of taking his mom's car without permission, he wasn't even legally driving (double the wooping and face legal repercussions as well). If he had been pulled over by an officer, he probably wouldn't be able to get his license until he was at least 18. Which would be fitting.

In Texas, you can get a head start at driving at the age of 14. I don't know the details, because since all our kids are in their 40s, it's not a concern. I think the father continued the, er, counseling. If a police officer had pulled him over, I think the fine ultimately would have wound up in a couple of thousand dollars, including insurance penalties.

As an offshoot, in Texas, accidentally injuring a child while the parent is administering corporal counseling is excused, as long as it was indeed strictly an accident.

Corporal punishment whines from snowflakes will not be entertained by me, people.
