People collecting unemployment checks hardly pay taxes, if at all. 70% of all tax revenues already come from the 1%'ers of our population. So any tax reduction would effectthem more than the lower wage earners and especially those on unemployment.

Revenues come from economic activity. Cutting taxes on the so called rich put their money to use creating economic activity. As AZrightwinger said, revenues in 2018/2019 grew. Remember, whether they make minimum wage or top notch salaries, wage earners give up 15% of their wages on every payday for SS. more wage earners, more revenues. More consumer spending, more revenues. Why is this hard to understand?

With all it's rich Movie stars and High Tech billionaires, California is going broke. Working people are leaving. In flyover country, economies are booming and the treasuries are swelling. The so called rich are putting people to work by creating jobs and opportunities with the money they do not have to send to the governments. And all boats rise.

Just as it did when Reagan lowered the rates.

How many times does this have to happen before the lesson is learned and remembered by the lefties?
So the rich never pay a personal financial price during the crisis, they get a FAT tax break from the gov't.
But millions of jobless people have to wait until the rich folks decide to create some jobs somewhere, someday, where they want to hire "ALL BOATS" for some stuff. While the gov't does little to nothing for them while the working class and poor slowly loose homes, health care and life savings.

That's what I'm reading here.
Sounds more like plutocracy than a democratic republic or sound capitalist economics.

isn't the gov't FAVORING the rich person and biz in your scenario? Crony capitalism much? Gov't choosing who to back?

Why is it always the rich that have to create jobs? I was a middle income guy when I started my business, I used my house for my working capital. Anyone can start a business, but most people don't have the will, or guts to do it.

If that's what you got from my post, go back to school and ask for a refund.

Like Dog man, I started, and restarted several times, my business. Once coming out of a bankruptcy forced by a bad business partner. I did it with a $300 prepaid credit card and a my mobile phone. Not one red bloody cent from the gubmit. I certainly wasn't rich. Neither are my closest friends. It has been my experience, for over 50 years, that the government is more often a hindrance than a help.

My brother is a self made millionaire. He and his family lived in my basement for several years. No Rich daddy or family, we were all born and raised two blocks from Kinloch MO. The poorest part of Ferguson MO. Hutzpah got him where he is today.

It takes guts and a willingness to MAKE IT HAPPEN no matter what, All the money in the world cannot equal stubborn persistent perseverance. I dare you to try it.

Keep in mind, something I bet you don't know,,,; On payday for the self employed small business, the government is your 50% partner in sharing the fruit of one's labor. That's why economic activity brings revenues to the treasury.

we've been told here several times that "the rich" are the one's that will CREATE the jobs dogMan. Because they are going to USE the money they get from personal tax cuts and other tax breaks that the feds are givin um. THAT'S WHY they should get them.

I agree with you.

And starting a biz like you did is great... if you still have a house and didn't loose it after you lost your job becasue of covid1984 or the last housing crisis etc..
And if small biz got some of the same gov't cheese and protections and less regulation that some of the larger corps get.
