We are in the Umbra. Partly cloudy.

Big company BBQ here with TIKI torches and music. Two hour shut down for the party. Sadly, no booze.

Oh Well

There will be 99.5% totality where I live, so I won't need to go anywhere. I bought eclipse glasses and am ready.

We have 100%.

I set my plant here in the boonies where there was virtually no one. We hade turkeys and deer visit us routinely. Were it not for all the buildings erected in the last 20 years, we would be able to experience a 360 degree sunset N-S-E-W, during the event.

I could put a ladder to the roof, but we just got all the leaks fixed

At the moment, 11:00 AM we are cloud clear, but hazy.

95 Degrees F with almost 100% humidity.

My job in this lovely environment is to BBQ Burgers and Brats. WITHOUT BEER!

What I do for the employees

If you don't hear from me you know what happened.

Plug in your zip code. It'll tell you the percentage of eclipse you'll see and where to travel for a more complete eclipse.

Sigh. Overcast here today...
I may just have to stare at this instead...

High cirrus clouds gave us a scare, and just as the event started some colulimbus and rain clouds got in the way as well.. However at about 90% eclipse, both cleared and we got the full show.

Amazing.

What I did not expect was the pure WHITE light that came for about two minutes after the Totality was over. WOW! I see why the Navajo consider the event as purifying, life changing and a new beginning.

Now everyone is sitting with full stomachs in the lounger chairs, and wearing our Eclipse glasses from APO, milking to the end the anti climatic second half of the show.

I heard the $1.64 billion us dollars will be lost in productivity by American businesses during the event. WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!

It's over at 2:00 PM here. Back to the same old grind.
