Actually the free market may well be doing more for vets than the huge federal bureaucracy. We have yet to hear anything about long waits and shredded applications at the Wounded Warriors Project.

Or any other such charity.

And in the event there is an issue with a private sector charity, we don't need a two year investigation by Congress to find out nothing because the E-mails are lost or the hard drives crashed.

The people who cheated, just get fired.

But I don't buy the oft-parroted premise. There's plenlty of wholesome inexpensive food available. It tends however to be in the form of staples that have to be prepared. Obviously, many on the Left will see cooking as a racist, sexist, homophobic burdrn to place upon the cellulite-enwrapped shoulders of "The Poor©."

As an overweight white male, I've been advised to eat less fat and more food like beans, broccoli, you know lower on the food chain. If we suggest that to inner city folks, is that racist. Why is it not racist when said to me?

I was born to poor parents. Cheese curls or chips never existed in our house, neither did soda pop. A pot of beans my mom spent a day soaking and a day cooking with two or three slices of bacon cut really small and browned with onions she grew in the garden. For a special meal she would make one can of La Choy chow mien go over two/three cups of rice. On a good week she added a can of corn to make it go farther. We liked it and she had an easy meal once a week.

Fed five brothers and our dad. None of it came from the Gubmit. If it was good enough for half breeds it ought to be good enough for anyone else. Maybe that's why your comment makes good sense.
