Dude shot his grandma 7 times, shot his gf, took hostages, and killed one of 'em.

I'm sure all of this is justified due to racism/discrimination/some Jesse Jackson bologna.

Hostages freed after Trader Joe's standoff in LA; suspect surrenders; at least 3 shot, 1 dead

Great dude died. RIP, bro.

Longtime NFL coach Tony Sparano dead at age 56

Former Miami Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano, who spent nearly two decades in coaching positions for nine different NFL franchises, has died. He was 56.

The Minnesota Vikings announced Sunday that Sparano had "unexpectedly" passed away earlier that morning. Sparano was entering his third season as the Vikings' offensive line coach.

"Tony was a passionate and driven individual who cared deeply about his family, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren," team owners Mark and Zygi Wilf said in a a statement. " ... We are only thinking of Tony’s family during this incredibly difficult time. We ask that the entire NFL and Vikings family keep the Sparanos in their thoughts."

Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer said Sparano was "a great teacher, a grinder of a worker and had a toughness and fighting spirit that showed in our linemen ... This is just sinking in for us but Tony will be sorely missed by all."

A Connecticut native, Sparano began his NFL coaching career with the reborn Cleveland Browns in 1999. He became head coach of the Dolphins prior to the 2008 season and led the team to an 11-5 record and the AFC East title in his first season. After a pair of 7-9 seasons, Sparano was fired 13 games into the 2011 campaign, with the team sitting at 4-9.

Three years later, Sparano was named interim head coach of the Oakland Raiders after Dennis Allen was fired four games into the 2014 season. Under Sparano, the Raiders won just three of their final 12 games to finish the year with a 3-13.

Prior to arriving in Minnesota, Sparano spent the 2015 season as the tight ends coach for the San Francisco 49ers.

Sparano also held offensive coaching positions with the Washington Redskins, Jacksonville Jaguars and Dallas Cowboys.

Sparano played at the University of New Haven where he was a four-year letterman. He was hired as New Haven's head coach in 1994 and held that position for five seasons.

Sparano is survived by his wife, two sons, a daughter and four grandchildren.

The Vikings open training camp on July 28.

Dad attacks man at California Target after he allegedly snaps upskirt photos of his teen daughter

A father took matters into his own hands after he caught a creep following his 15-year-old daughter around a Target in California last week.

Jorge A. Ibarra Jr., 29, was arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 1 on “suspicion of invasion of privacy” after he was allegedly captured on surveillance video taking upskirt photos of girls at a Target store in Cypress.
Reminds me of this gem. The 911 call is hysterical.

Melania Trump's parents become US citizens

First lady Melania Trump’s parents officially became U.S. citizens on Thursday.

Viktor and Amalija Knavs took the citizenship oath on August 9, their lawyer, Michael Wildes, confirmed to Fox News.

The Knavs had been living in the U.S. as lawful permanent residents.

The couple was escorted to and from the Manhattan ceremony by Homeland Security police.

Trump was raised in Slovenia by her parents while the country was still under Communist rule. Viktor Knavs, 74, was a car dealer, and Amalija Knavs, 73, was employed in a textile factory.

The couple made headlines in May after they were seen visiting a federal building in New York City with their immigration attorney.

Deluxe burger combos - The dinner of child killers everywhere!

Sick fuq. Tell me again why we don't put bullets into the heads of these scumbags the moment the judge says, "guilty."

Tennessee convicted child killer Billy Ray Irick picks deluxe burger combo as last meal before execution

A Tennessee convicted child rapist and killer on Wednesday picked a deluxe burger combo as his last meal before his execution -- the first in the state in nearly a decade.

Billy Ray Irick, 59, chose the deluxe combo that included a super deluxe burger, onion rings and a Pepsi soft drink, the Tennessee Department of Correction said Wednesday. Irick, who is being held at Riverbend Maximum Security Institution in Nashville, will eat his last meal before his execution, which is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday.

The name of the restaurant that prepared the meal was not released “out of an abundance of caution,” the department said.

Death row inmates are given a $20 limit to spend on their last meal, the Tennessean reported.

Irick was convicted in the 1985 rape and murder of 7-year-old Paula Dyer, who he was babysitting.

The convicted killer is expected to receive a three-drug injection on Thursday. If Irick is executed, it will be the first Tennessee has applied the death penalty since 2009.

Irick exhausted all his appeals since being convicted and continued over the years to challenge the drugs Tennessee officials used in lethal injections for death row inmates.

On Monday, the state Supreme Court denied a stay of Irick's execution, saying a lawsuit filed by inmates contesting the execution drugs being used wasn't likely to succeed.

Big prayers to those poor peeps.

Italian bridge collapses in Genoa, killing at least 20, officials say

Nearly two dozen people -- including a child -- were killed when a raised highway in Genoa crumbled during a sudden and violent storm, sending several vehicles plunging to the ground where rescuers desperately searched for survivors.

Italy's civil protection agency Angelo Borrelli said in a news conference that 20 people were killed and 13 others were injured when a 650-foot section of the Morandi bridge collapsed over an industrial zone just after 12 p.m. local time. The bridge is part of the A10 highway that connects Italy to France.

Italian transport official Edoardo Rixi initially said 22 people were killed and eight were injured. Local reports, however, indicated the death toll could rise a rescue efforts continue.

The victims appear to all have been in vehicles when the structure crumbled beneath them, causing them to plunge nearly 300 feet to the ground, according to Borrelli. The concrete pieces also crushed two warehouses below, but officials believe no one was inside because the buildings were closed for summer holiday.

About 20 vehicles were involved, firefighter Amalia Tedeschi told RAI state TV.

The transport minister, Danilo Toninelli, earlier said the collapse was likely "an enormous tragedy."

"We are following minute by minute the situation of the bridge collapse in Genoa," Interior Minister Matteo Salvini wrote on Twitter.

Tedeschi said two people were pulled from the rubble alive as rescuers searched the scene for survivors.

The exact cause of the collapse was unclear, though a witness said he saw lightning strike the structure, which fell apart soon after.

"It was just after 11:30 a.m. when we saw the lighting bolt hit the bridge and we saw the bridge go down," witness Pietro M. told ANSA.

Authorities earlier said they suspected there was a structural weakness.

Images posted by state police and witnesses showed a huge section of the bridge missing and crushed trucks and cars. Parts of the structure also landed on the rooftops of nearby buildings. Video captured the sound of a man screaming: "Oh, God, oh, God!"

Firefighters said they are concerned about gas lines in the area.

The bridge was inaugurated in 1967 and is about 0.6 miles long. It's an interchange between the northern regions of Lombardy and Piedmont and the beaches of Liguria.

The collapse also occurred on the eve of Ferragosto, a major Italian holiday. Authorities said traffic on the bridge was expected to be higher than usual because many people travel to beaches or mountains during the holiday.

Two years before the deadly collapse, an engineer said the bridge was bound for disaster. Antonio Brencich, who is also a professor at the University of Genoa, said in July 2016 that there were problems with the structure, Ingegneri.info reported.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Pray for Hawaii.

It's a monster but may turn just enough to not do any catastrophic damage to the Aloha state. Let's hope.

Quote:
Lane is the strongest storm to come this close to Hawaii in recorded history, and only six Category 5 storms have been located in this part of the Pacific Ocean.

As Hurricane Lane nears, Hawaii governor requests presidential disaster declaration

As Hurricane Lane nears Hawaii, officials and residents prepare for the fierce winds and heavy rain that are expected to hit the Pacific islands.

Hawaii Gov. David Ige said during a news conference Wednesday that he requested a presidential disaster declaration, “which allows us to preposition the state, should the need for federal assistance arise during the Hurricane Lane effects.”

The Category 4 storm, currently situated about 400 miles south-southeast of Honolulu, is expected to bring maximum sustained winds of 150 mph, and currently is moving west-northwest at 8 mph, according to an 8 p.m. ET update from the National Weather Service’s Central Pacific Hurricane Center (CPHC).

The storm was listed earlier as a Category 5 storm before a decrease in wind strength. Hurricane warnings are in effect for Hawaii County and Maui County, in addition to several islands, the agency said. Oahu and Kauai County are under a hurricane watch.

“A steady weakening trend is forecast to begin today, but Lane is expected to remain a dangerous hurricane as it approaches the islands,” the CPHC said in the Wednesday evening update.

Parts of the state under hurricane warning should see tropical storm conditions by Thursday morning before strengthening to hurricane level severity later in the day, CPHC said.

Heavy rain from the storm is anticipated across “portions of the Hawaiian Islands” through the weekend, the update said, which “could lead to major flash flooding and landslides.”

With the potential of rain, wind and coastal flooding on the island of Oahu, Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell said they are “using an abundance of caution as we go forward.”

“We’re planning for the worst and hoping for the best,” he said.

Starting Thursday, only disaster response workers were expected to report to work, Caldwell said, echoing a tweet from the governor, who is permitting administrative leave for all “non-essential state employees on Oahu and Kauai.” Ige previously issued the same authorization for similar employees on the Big Island and Maui.

Hurricane evacuation shelters are expected to be opened Thursday morning, Deputy Director of Emergency Management Hiro Toiya said during the news conference. There is very limited space in the shelters, Toiya said, adding that the facilities essentially will be “standing room only,” and will be stocked with very few supplies, so residents should prepare to bring their own.

“Most” of the shelters “have not been designed or hardened to withstand winds greater than a tropical storm,” he said, before adding that they were still “a safer option” for people in potential flood areas or those who lived in older homes. He also encouraged people to consider the option of staying with friends and family.

Among the other preparations announced by the mayor and other officials from the city included cancelling all public schooling on the island and concluding regular bus service Thursday evening until after the storm. Public schools also were closed on the Big Island and in Maui County until further notice.

Residents in Hawaii rushed to stores to stock up on bottled water, toilet paper and other supplies as they faced the threat of heavy rain, flash flooding and high surf.

“We’re planning on boarding up all our windows and sliding doors,” Napua Puaoi of Wailuku, Maui, told The Associated Press after buying 16 pieces of plywood from Home Depot. “As soon as my husband comes home — he has all the power tools.”

Lane is the strongest storm to come this close to Hawaii in recorded history, and only six Category 5 storms have been located in this part of the Pacific Ocean.

The Aloha State, while located in a vast ocean, has not had many brushes with large tropical systems. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s database, there is no record of a hurricane track within 65 nautical miles of either Maui or Honolulu since statehood.

For Hawaii, the “big one” came in in 1992 when Hurricane Iniki struck the island of Kauai as a Category 4 storm, causing $3.2 billion in damage and killing six people, according to Fox News Senior Meteorologist Janice Dean.

Iniki is still the costliest and deadliest storm to hit the islands in recorded history, and only two other hurricanes — an unnamed storm in 1871 and Dot in 1959 — have hit a Hawaiian island in that time period.

Fox News’ Travis Fedschun, Janice Dean and The Associated Press contributed to this report.

John Lennon's killer, Mark David Chapman, denied parole for 10th time

Mark David Chapman, the man who killed John Lennon, has been denied parole for the 10th time.

Chapman, 63, went before New York's parole board on Thursday in what was his 10th attempt to be released from the Wende Correctional Facility in western New York, where he's serving a 20-years-to-life sentence.

Chapman shot and killed Lennon, a former Beatles star, outside of his apartment in The Dakota building in Manhattan on Dec. 8, 1980.

The state's parole board last denied Chapman's request two years ago — describing the murder of Lennon as "selfish and evil." The board determined Chapman should remain behind bars, in part because of the premeditated and "celebrity-seeking" nature of the crime.

When he applied for parole in 2014, Chapman told the board that he still gets letters about the pain he caused in his pursuit of notoriety.

"I am sorry for causing that type of pain," he said. "I am sorry for being such an idiot and choosing the wrong way for glory."

Years earlier, in 2010, Chapman recalled he had considered shooting Johnny Carson or Elizabeth Taylor instead, but said that Lennon was more accessibly as his luxury apartment building near Central Park "wasn't quite as cloistered."
