The PBS station here in Detroit was the first station in the United States to carry the Red Green Show. he was very unPC for a Canadian and if any of you saw his shows you know they were always great. He went off the air after 15 season and I thought I would post some of his clips/

Small town Canadian comedies take some climatizing to get adjusted to, but if you roll with it, they can get kind of addictive. There's another one called Corner Gas the Red Green crowd tends to like.

There's one the Canadian lefties seem to like, but I personally think it's pathetic called Little Mosque on the Prairie.

The absolute funniest was one about dysfunctional hockey parents called The Tournament. BBC is stealing the idea to make one about soccer parents called The Cup. If it's a hit expect a football, or baseball one from an American network.

For "UnPC" Red Green doesn't even rate next to the best (or I guess some would say the worst of irreverent Canadian Comedies). Check out Trailer Park Boys, or Pure Pwnage.

On Red Green, the first time I watched it I thought "This is dumb", but I watched it a couple more times, and I was wired.

The "Duct Tape" meme caught on. I even see mentions in American media from time to time.

I've seen the little house and your right. I personally like This Hour has 22 minutes. That's funny. And anything with Rick Mercer is funny also.

Red was big for a while in the states and did those PBS specials to raise money for a lot of them. Here in the Detroit area when he did those pledge drives they were some of the biggest shows with the most money coming in at that time.

In Rural Alaska, we see it as a documentary.
